Think of it as a red badge of courage.
Fool. We already have. Bush's 2005 State of the Union speech where you butt heads booed.
No class Dems, as usual.
Wilson should publicly mention how many of these Democrat haters got funded by ACORn, and it’s affiliated SEIU and La RAza in 2008, as part of his defense.
I am Joe.
Such damn hypocrites.
Nobody cares about Joe Wilson.
They care about the sinking economy.
Then he should start to leave the well of the House, get about fifteen feet, then turn back and walk up to the microphone and say "Oh yeah. I apologize."
The vote’s going quite slowly at the moment.
How do the democrats expect us to respect them after all their antics over the past couple decades, and especially the current crop of misfits. I have lost respect for congress some time ago, and don’t have much respect for the office of the president how it is now, let alone, for Obama who is hellbent on destroying our country. How do you sit quietly, while someone is looking the American people in the eye, and telling lie after lie? Since when is calling someone on a lie worse than the lie, itself?
Is the house containing the felon Charlie Rangel?
Do they think we give a dog-Obama about their silly votes on anything to do with morals.
Bwahahahahah.
In the age of Obama its worse to call a liar a liar, than to be a liar.
The Bible is correct when it says that the world does not know its left hand from its right. Something is wrong when it is worse to call a liar a “liar” than it is to lie. I wish that we could go back to the days when senators used to fight duels. That would take care of most problems, and it would be better than term limits.

Instead of honest debate, we’ve seen scare tactics
Well, the time for bickering is over. The time for games has passed.
(APPLAUSE)
. . .
Still, given all the misinformation that’s been spread over the past few months,
Some of people’s concerns have grown out of bogus claims spread by those whose only agenda is to kill reform at any cost. The best example is the claim, made not just by radio and cable talk show hosts, but by prominent politicians that we plan to set up panels of bureaucrats with the power to kill off senior citizens.
Now, such a charge would be laughable if it weren’t so cynical and irresponsible. It is a lie plain and simple.
(APPLAUSE)
. . .
So don’t pay attention to those scary stories about how your benefits will be cut — especially since some of the same folks who are spreading these tall tales have fought against Medicare in the past...

Yeesh, these guys need to learn to let go. Wilson apologized, the Administration accepted it. End of story.
I also think the House pursues this at their own peril. A lot of people I know (including myself) felt the outburst wasn’t the best way to respond, but absolutely agreed with the underlying sentiment. The speech *wasn’t* straight talk, and people are tired, very tired, of getting shined on by the Administration and Congress on health care.
I clearly recall the endless accusations from Democrats that 'Bush lied' about the WMD's in Iraq, and on and on and on. President Bush was booed by Democrats at the 2005 State of the Nation speech, with absolutely no consequence.
Now, they want to pretend that they're all offended because 'decorum' was disturbed? Gimme a break!
Go Joe! is right. Wilson called out the lying president and the Democrats, who have control of congress, want to punish him for his honesty. When Barney Frank doesn't want to sign on to this ridiculous Declaration, you know it must be pretty toxic. I hope it fails and embarrasses Nancy Pelosi, if that's even possible, anymore.
