Entrapment n. In criminal law, the act of law enforcement officers or government agents inducing or encouraging a person to commit a crime when the potential criminal expresses a desire not to go ahead. The key to entrapment is whether the idea for the commission or encouragement of the criminal act originated with the police or government agents instead of with the "criminal.

First, Chuck Todd flatly rejected the notion that the MSM failed to adequately report on Van Jones, suggesting coverage would have been a waste of time. Later, Norah O'Donnell came on and suggested that the video of the ACORN employees giving advice on how to evade the tax laws in setting up a brothel with young illegal aliens "might be viewed as entrapment." Let’s clarify here. Entrapment is a defense raised by a defendant to a criminal charge. It is not prohibited it is just something you raise to try and get a criminal charge thrown out.
The legal standard for entrapment in most jurisdictions is VERY high and is much stronger than the definition given in this article.
I have not observed an entrapment defense work ever, because you have to show that the defendant would have had no inclination to commit the crime. If I get you to commit a crime, you had the inclination. That is why every police sting you hear about holds up. Entrapment is an almost impossible standard to meet.
Next point, I’ve seen the press pull this kind of crap before. Here in town if you tell the reporter that the democrat mayor said somethiing incriminating in a meeting, the reporter says “Well you know I can’t print that, it’s hearsay”. Suddenly they start playing lawyer and judge in a situation where it does not apply.
This woman is like the rest of the lame stream news media. There hearts have become hard as rocks. The sad thing is, they don’t even realize how sick and twisted they’ve become.

And you expect these people to be able to estimate crowd size and to have the ability to broadcast the truth?
I saw this angry biotch this morning. She had me actually talking ot the television, and using words from my Navy days! I developed a strong dislike for this woman.
Using the words “Republican Activists”, “Entrapment”, and trying her best to distance Obama from ACORN. She fully understands the link of Obama to ACORN, and she’s not happy about it at all.
Chuck Todd was spinning like crazy too. They aren’t happy they couldn’t bury this story, so they’re doing all they can to distort it.

Couldn’t agree more. By the way Norah, I think entrapment applies to our law enforcement professionals. I don’t know if a private citizen can entrap someone?

With Norah O’Donnell’s latest opinion on ACORN, I think it proves the point beyond any shadow of a doubt that NOW and leftist feminists groups are just socialist frontgroups playing the divide and conquer game. Let’s stop letting the lefties get away with this.
