Senator Mike Johanns (R-NE) introduced an amendment to the HUD and Transportation appropriation bill to strip ACORN of all federal funding. A week ago, Johanns wouldnt have gotten the amendment to the floor. Today, however, after three straight days of BigGovernment.coms video exposés of ACORN offices in Washington DC, New York City, and Baltimore offering assistance to pimping, tax evasion, and trafficking in underage Salvadorean girls, Johanns not only got his vote but he got an impressive bipartisan showing. The Senate passed the Johanns amendment 83-7. At the beginning of the vote, it appeared that Democrats might resist. Initially, a half-dozen Democrats cast votes in opposition to the amendment. A few more cast votes against it as the rest of the Senate voted, but the tide appeared to shift. More and more Democrats signed onto the amendment, and votes started changing. One male voice could be heard in the chamber saying, I want to change my vote! Among those who changed their votes: Tom Udall (D-NM), Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ), and Herb Kohl (D-WI).

I like that! But there's more corruption than ACORN, although ACORN is a great start, but they're not going away. They'll change their name if they haven't already done so.
You're right. Glenn promised a bombshell for tomorrow's show. He hinted that he would tell us something on his radio show in the morning.
McCain and Graham held townhalls TOGETHER today. I don’t know what the other absentees were doing.
LOL. At least you’re a FORMER resident of the “People’s Republic of Maryland.” I am still a CA captive.
pimping, tax evasion, and trafficking ..

Somebody needs to investigate their records, investigate their financed ‘homeowners’. Acorn is promoting this openly.. I bet there are many slave houses now operating under their program. Somebody needs to visit those domiciles.
Wow! Two kids bring down ACORN. And people say “you can’t make a differnce”. I don’t know what price James O’Keefe will have to pay for this, but what a huge achievement. I’m not naive enough to think the “progressive” machine behind Obama won’t just funnel the money to a more quiet, less radical organ of the communists. But it’s a start.
Two kids bring down ACORN. Stunning.
Take that you wretched MSM maggots. That is what is called “journalism”. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. MSM maggots wouldn’t know journalism if it bit them on their DNC donkey.
Both my senators voted for the commie criminals. No new ground there. Sanders and Laehy.
Every County went to McCain and only gave 34% to Obama in the entire state. We have counties that are well over 60% Dem registered as well! We only had a few black precincts that went for Obama and even then not by a high percentage.
“Favorite part is the dim vote switchers. What do they say about Rats?”
Yup. They thought the measure would be easily defeated. When they saw it would pass, they changed their minds. CYA time. lol
I am trying to figure out why Boxer and Feinstein voted against ACORN: fingers in the politcal wind. Boxer is up for reelection. I intend to work for her opponent.
This is done to satisfy the anger out here. The money is redirected thru the back door of another criminal op Im sure. Keep your eyes open, do your home work! organize 912 project
Seeing VT and IL BOTH senators from each on the list doesn’t surprise me.
Only 34% for Obama! LOL! Thank you for replying to me.
I think McCain and Graham were down in SC today doing a townhall. Not that they are any great help to our side.
God bless you, Glen Beck.
Me neither, although I hadn't given VT any thought until I saw the vote. I had hopes for Boxer, Schumer and Spector to be on the list. :)
The best may be yet to come. This sting was done in the ideal way to more than meet the requirements of a citizen RICO lawsuit, which could break ACORN up.
The Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act needs two things before either criminal prosecution by the government (which won’t happen, of course), *or* a citizen lawsuit, which could very well happen.
The first thing is that the Corrupt Organization must break two or more specific laws in the RICO statute. Note that just evidence that they broke these laws, not convictions, is all that is necessary.
Among the list of laws is:
Fraud, money laundering, bankruptcy fraud, and bringing in, aiding or assisting aliens in illegally entering the country (if the action was for financial gain), and a bunch of other crimes.
By conspiring in an attempt to defraud the government, and conspiracy to violate laws against importing illegal aliens for profit, child prostitution, child slavery (Sex Trafficking of Children by Force, Fraud, or Coercion (18 U.S.C. § 1591), this statute and the ones that follow are the gifts that keep on giving.))
The second thing that must be demonstrated is a “pattern of racketeering activity”. By showing that three different subgroups of ACORN, in three different places, were engaged in the same pattern of conspiracy, this is established.
Importantly, government involvement is not necessary in a RICO lawsuit, but it could end up outlawing ACORN, forfeiture of its assets, etc.
What other kinds of funding does ACORN get?
According to ACORN, the majority of its funds come from private contributions. But, even if they do get money elsewhere, its addition by subtraction b/c there will that much less lib dollars at their disposal.

The drip, drip, drip exposure of ACORN is a brilliant strategy and has terrified the Senate into showing their support now before any more videos are released. The “Pimp” and the “Whore” should be given medals!
“Is it true that every county in your state went GOP in election 08?”
Oh, please, please tell me what state this is (all GOP)! Sounds like heaven on earth! I’m looking for a place to retire.
Thank you.
