Question for the group: The Census Bureau falls under the US Department of Commerce. The Secretary of Commerce, Gary Locke (D), is a member of Obama's Cabinet Wouldn't Obama or his Chief of Staff have to sign off on this FIRST??! Sorry - I CANNOT beleive that clinch-fisted Obama & Emanuel would grant THIS MUCH autonomy to fiscally-conservative Gary Locke over their precious ACORN!

So, are you asking if Obama has thrown ACORN under the bus? That could be a very good thing, but I have a feeling a lot of these connections are going “Underground” and not away. It still shows that they are feeling the need to bend under the pressure somewhat at least... We just need to keep pressing, IMHO. They are like cockroaches, and we are the light...
Chu: US to lead climate change charge
By Brendan John Worrell and Wang Linyan (China Daily)
The United States is ready to lead the fight against climate change, US Secretary of Energy Steven Chu said yesterday in Beijing.
And Chu suggested that China and the US cooperate on clean energy, saying there are huge opportunities for partnerships to make buildings more energy-efficient.
"It is through collaboration between the United States and China in co-developing new science and technology that we will find new solutions," he said, noting that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the Agreement for Scientific and Technological Cooperation between China and the US.
The trade instability between the U.S. and China isn't sustainable, and the 2 countries have a joint responsibility to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke said on Wednesday.
China should shift from export-led growth, growth its exchange rate flexibility, and open its markets more, Locke said in comments disposed for a speech to the American Chamber of Commerce.
Locke, who will visit Beijing and Shanghai, plans to advance blank energy technology as one area in which United States. industry can find chances in China.
"For all our areas of agreement, the U.S. and China's trade relationship has to acquire. There are concerns and deep structural issues that must be called," Locke said.
"Chief among them is a bilateral trade imbalance that simply can't be sustained. Growth predicated on ever increasing Chinese exports being consumed by debt-laden Americans provided years of successfulness -- but it also sowed some of the seeds for our current economic troubles."
(just thinking out aloud, FWIW)
I stand corrected...
Is Rahm-bo on any of the propaganda outlets tomorrow morning? Maybe we’ll hear from him on this. I doubt it, though. I think this will get swept under the bus with the rest of the victims.
