Breaking News on Fox, the Census Bureau has severed all ties to ACORN. Will not be working with ACORN for the census in 2010.
I stand corrected...
I have analyzed the 360+ organizations cited in the ACORN report against the Census organizations. There is ONE definite match with Census organizations and ONE possible match. Here they are:
Volunteers of America POSSIBLE MATCH This is the Census organization
“Volunteers FOR America” is the ACORN organization. Even if they don’t match, they could imitate VOA.
Service Employees International Union MATCH
We all know this one.
I’ll send the spreadsheet and the sources and the Congressional report to Glen Beck.
I believe a potential new name still up for "grabs" (!) was suggested by the Acorn employee herself: "Hop-Ins". I'm sure you all can find some suitable variations.

Firstly, thanks for the great investigative reporting you’ve been doing on Fox News!
Secondly, here is some more research done by my fellow “Freepers” on Free Republic (freerepublic.com). They have found various aliases and names used by ACORN and linked to the US Census site, which documents the various organizations affiliated with the US Census.
Someone said, “We ought to cross reference these!” and so I did. I entered all the ACORN aliases into a spreadsheet and compared them to all the Census organizations. I color coded them to keep them straight.
I have one possible match and one definite match.

So, are you asking if Obama has thrown ACORN under the bus? That could be a very good thing, but I have a feeling a lot of these connections are going “Underground” and not away. It still shows that they are feeling the need to bend under the pressure somewhat at least... We just need to keep pressing, IMHO. They are like cockroaches, and we are the light... Glenn Beck has been rightfully saying all week that the focus should not be on disposable people, rather the people at the top - the REAL pimps at ACORN. ACORN has been doing this crap for decades, under different names and organizational structures. But the one consistency has been the people at the top, all good buddies of Obama, helping him to be elected by collecting money - and votes for Obama. And these same ACORN criminals have been in charge of our Constitutionally-mandated Census.

Well when they come to your door, demand some ID, quiz them relentlessly on what they want, ask for a birth certificate, express surprise when they don’t have one, so ask for a passport, take pictures and video of them and their vehicle, including license plate, and call local law enforcement, really give it to them
