Just got this from a person who wants me to buy his second hand kayak:
I’ve been self employed for 30 years. I’ve always tried to treat people as I would like to be treated as I was taught thru Sunday School and Church. However, you may not be aware of the difficulties of the self employed. I was hospitalized 4 years in a row in the 1990’s. To afford my health insurance I had a $2500 deductible. So, I lost $10,000 in deductible fees and I had to pay income tax on that lost income. It appears that you are retired from the military or government which my taxes have paid for incredibly rich retirement and health benefits. I’m glad to pay taxes to provide this for dedicated citizens. However, why can’t I be able to get affordable insurance. My current health insurance has a $5,000 deductible and I have a preexisting medical condition even though I have the same carrier over the last 20 years just because I raised my deductible. (Money I could have used for retirement.)
Years ago, I was in a Paramedic Program and I was able to work in 2 area ERs. With this training I have preformed self surgery to avoid my inflated medical costs which you and most rich do not incur! I feel fortunate to have gained this medical knowledge. However, my friends who work for the government, other friends who are doctors, nurses, and others who have been able to become wealthy think I’m crazy. However, they do not know how poor I am and how difficult it has been for me. I was brought up in a home where money this is not discussed. However, I’d appreciate your telling your friends who hate people like me when they have no worries since my taxes have provided rich benefits for you and deny the same benefits to me. I can not get on a group plan for short or long term disability. We are the richest country in the world but we have forgotten people like me! I don’t ask for anything but the opportunity to join an affordable group insurance plan for health and disability. Why do I have to die earlier without dignity?

Karl Rove trying to knock some sense into O'Reilly but it's like talking to a brick wall.
I think you should just pay his insurance preimums, his mortage, his new kayak payments and a car and groceries for life. You can do it if you cut out the waste and fraud in your household budget.
