A position in Obama’s Ministry of Love. Room 101
When was this? Does it mean he will be going to 9-12, D.C.???
LOL, how very fitting ! After his lewd remarks about Rumsfeld working at Burger King!!
or was it Wendy’s?
Wendy’s, silly.
Rumsfeld has more class than to work at BK.
"So as far as I am concerned, the big contradiction has not been on the right. The big contradiction has been on the left. Allegedly, our politics are the politics of love and redemption, but you sure couldnt tell it coming to our protests. You sure couldnt tell it listening to our radio programs. You sure couldnt tell reading our blogs that we are on the side of love and forgiveness." ___ Van Jones
As I've said on other threads, the guy is a passionate "big picture" guy, and IMO we need those kinds of people. Unfortunately, his big picture has a lot in it I don't want and many people don't want. I admire his spunk and his spirit, but I simply don't agree with him on much. I wish we had someone on our side who had the same passion and big vision that he has.
Huh? Where do you get that from? The left is on the side of vindictiveness, revenge and keeping the fire burning, and always has been. Van Jones is doing exactly what any good leftist does.
But in the crazy world of the left, hatred and revenge for imagined slights are called “love.”
I think you need to read the quote again.
now THAT’S funny.
I’m sitting here battling swine flu, and you nearly made me spit my cough drop at my monitor. Warning next time, please.
Maybe you need to read it again. I read it, and he’s saying the left is on the side of “love and forgiveness.” Yeah, that’s what I think of when I think of Lenin, Stalin and their inspiration, Marx, not to mention Wright, Van Jones - and Obama. Hate-filled, spittle-flecked, dangerous fanatics...every one of them.
No, that’s not what he’s saying. Read it again.
He’s saying that the contradiction is on the left, because according to him their politics are “love and redemption,” but that’s not the way they sound on when they speak, so therefore they are contradicting themselves by their behavior.
But my point is that leftwing politics have nothing to do with “love and redemption,” and are all about resentment and revenge, and therefore they are not contradicting themselves at all. Van Jones is a nutcase, but I don’t see how even he could think there is anything about “love and redemption” in anybody in the left from Marx (or, for that matter, from Robespierre) on down.
