H.R. 3226, the Czar ACCOUNTABILITY and Reform Act of 2009, would bar the use of appropriated funds to pay either expenses or salaries of members of task forces, councils, or similar offices established by the president and headed by a person appointed inappropriately to such a post without Senate advice and consent.

These czars should NOT have any control over stimulus funds!
I’ve wondered about that too. There are over 30 czars now. I’ve wondered where the money comes from to pay them and their staff and their travel expenses and related office expenses. Since the Bush White House didn’t have czars, all of these are newly created positions, with no money having been spent in these areas before.
And remember, each czar has to have a secretary and office staff of his own, his own office in rented office space somewhere, office supplies, travel expense budget, seminar budget...................
Just one more reason to get out the vote and turn control of the House over to the GOP (not that I have any grand expectations if they take it back - but I would expect them to function as a form of checks and balances to the Socialist in the White House).
Everyone of these “czars” should be trotted out in front of congress and the American people and properly vetted. We need a clear description of what they are up to, who pays them and we demand accountability and oversight. I nominate Glen Beck as chief interrogator.

This is an excellent idea- send htis to Glenn Beck, and ask if He;ll concider starting an online petition to send ot our government stating we do NOT want Czars running programs in htis coutnry WITHOUT ANY accountibility- infact, we don’t want any Czars period!
We need a deck of cards with the czars pictures and history on them...throw in a few traitorous Cpngress Critters and we could have a full deck, maybe two.
We need to get rid of these stinking czars, ever last one of them.
I CARE THAT THEY ARE COMMIES AND HAVE THE PRESIDENTS EAR!
Damn straight!! It’s bad enough our money is the hands of congress critters, but in the hands of unelected, unvetted elitist snobs is too much! Nip it in the bud!!
Did everyone contact their Representatives? You can at congress.org
Holding and watching and waiting to find the best way to permanently nuke this back-door totalitarian invasion --- funded with our own tax dollars.
