Now that White House "Green Jobs Czar" Van Jones has resigned, what's next?
Inevitably, the American mainstream media - ABC, NBC, CBS, the New York Times, the Washington Post, Time, Newsweek, et al - must be held to account for sitting on the sidelines as this major story kept building without them, went viral on YouTube, and then became so large that a key appointee of President Obama was forced to step down.
But with their decision to ignore the Jones story, they may have actually done Mr. Obama far more harm than good: Who vetted this guy? How did he get past the FBI? What did he

The State Run Media is dying a death of a thousand cuts. The interesting fact is that they are doing to themselves. They deserve their fate.
Although the stupid still remain willfully blind so they will be replaced.
I think it got past the FBI and SS in the sense that the Illegal Alien did an end run around both agencies.

There are so many things we would not if we read, say, The Dallas Morning News from cover to cover every day.
The media doesn’t seem to have any desire to wake up.
But with their decision to ignore the Jones story, they may have actually done Mr. Obama far more harm than good: Who vetted this guy? How did he get past the FBI
Vetted him?
Past the FBI?
He was not being appointed to a Cabinent position. He was not applying for a Federal Job.
He was hand picked by Obama and GIVEN a position.PERIOD. That is how it was done in Chicago and in in the dreamlands of Socialism/Communism that Obama operates from.

No, wrong. The Mainstream Media was busy. They were busy investigating Sarah Palin. After all, she was spotted wearing a jacket with a logo on it.
And she gave an interview while a turkey was being slaughtered.
That is really *important* journalism, not such trivial fluff as a “Czar” who’s a communist in the Obama Administration...
The Mainstream Media is always looking out for us. I’m so glad.
Fantastic post!
“Newsweek” being probably the biggest loser of the bunch, as liberalism slides into senility its losing subscribers in droves.
I suspect that the SS and the FBI had all the data on these creatures. They passed it to Bambi's team and were told to," FO..We won."
Valerie Jarrett vetted him in a room at the Drake Hotel in Chicago.
Newsweek is now the size of a pamphlet.
the media agrees with JOnes, so they had no problem with any of the stuff you and I are freaking out on.
Thanks for posting this gem.
Yes but they have two pamphlets out this week, both with Ted Kennedy on the front cover.
I think Breitbart's point is anyone who physically works at the White House gets a FBI security check. Even if they don't deal directly with classified information, they still are in such close proximity to the CIC, that the FBI is tasked with ensuring they don't pose any physical threat to our WH occupants.
There are plenty of public record comments and problems with his personal record that should have, and probably would have drawn some objections from the FBI. If we had an honest media in this country, that alone should be a story and impetus enough for them to cover it. Did the FBI object to Jones? And, if so, to whom did they object and who gave Jones the clearance necessary? Rahm? Obama himself?
Once those questions are asked and answer, it becomes virtually impossible for the WH to claim that they didn't know about his background, nor did they know about his signing of the Truther statement. Of course they knew, because the FBI surely would have told them.
It will just push more folks over to Fox News. Fox has been harping on the fact that everyone else in the news business ignored the Van Jones story. When only one network covers a story that turns out to be true that network gains tons of credibility with the public.
