“People with power need to use that power responsibly and accountably,” said a spokesman, Van Jones . “Picking up a gun gives you a whole lot of power in that moment. We need to make sure that people with access to that power have been properly vetted, have proper training and can be held accountable for their actions.”

My research (which was done on a crummy 56K dial up line so it is NOT comprehensive) discovered several things.
First, most of the state-run media is covering the Jones story.
Second, none have the story as the lead.
Third, most of them have relegated this story to their blog section. Gee, I wonder why not.
The NYT piece is especially interesting (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/06/us/politics/06vanjones.html?_r=1&hp). They’ve got links scattered through the story, but none point to their previous reporting on this.

Glen Beck only reported.
I worry for Glen Beck....he’s a target, but make no mistake, if there were nothing to report, nothing would have been reported.
