I’ve never watched the Glenn Beck show, but I guess I’ll have to tune in.

If I’m not mistaken, some of the advertizers have returned to Beck’s timeslot.

( Advertisers Continue to abandon Glenn Beck after Pundit had called President Obama a ‘Racist’ ) ,,,, must be fuzzy logic and fuzzy math, because, Beck’s ratings keep getting higher and higher.

On the one hand, FNC is making tons of money from Beck, who only make $2 Million for his gig there. And viewership is up.

On the other hand, I have seen ads for the WSJ and Weekly Standard on his show, which are usually only shown when they can’t sell the advertising time.

Many of his new sponsors are Gold Companies, and ads aimed at older people, like pharmaceuticals and diabetes drugs.

Given the ratings numbers for Beck, there’s going to be no shortage of advertisers to keep him going...

To the contrary, I’m concerned that the powers-that-be at Fox succumb to the dollar signs in their eyes, and overbook the show, so that we get less Beck, and more ‘words from our sponsors’....

Beck will gone the end of the year. They are really out to get him. He is the only one willing to after the full truth. In to todays media you just can’t do that. The left is relentless. They will get Glenn Beck one way or another and he will be shut down.

In todays America the Bill of Rights no longer exists. Free speech is dead. The constitution is obsolite.

Continue to pray for America.

Sounds like Obama and Co are lying as usual. Why would these companies except for perverted Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream(which you can’t find the ice cream)want to alienate half or more of their customers? Of course, there are probably a few of them.

Then, these advertisers are idiots; the smart businessman buys advertising for exposure...not political ideologue.

And one further note...IMHO commiebama is not only a racist, but a devout racist. His actions, history, and rhetoric can only lead to one conclusion...he hates white people. Reverend Wright told him he should, for 20 years, and he is following his good buddy jerimiah's orders.

They are all incensed that Beck is onto their agenda, and has called out such fraudulent nazi groups as ACORN, etc. An old southern adage for "hypocrite" is "bit dog hollers"...and boy is the left hollering about Beck...he must have bitten them, but good. Funny as hell.

Meanwhile, we should write all of the "boycotting" sponsors and tell them that they all have competitors who aren't against the freedom of speech, and we shall take our business to them.

Beck will presumably report that the NY Daily News daily publishes a barn gutter full of “Bountiful Stuff” (BS). The first several “advertisers” who “withdrew” from Beck said (1) that they had never advertised through Beck, or (2) that they had ceased advertising with all cable channels, switching to bigger audiences on the broadcast networks. (The latter has hurt Dem/Dim channels many times as much as it has hurt Fox.)

We need the list of 57 who don’t believe in freedom of speech unless you are Whoopi Goldberg or Bill Mahrer and are calling George Bush every vile thing they can think of.
I want to do my own boycott of these companies.

I watch Beck everyday and I can honestly say I never knew any of these companies even ran ads on his show. Alot of what this racist bunch is claiming is apparently not true - a lot of those they claim are boycotting said they’ve never even advertised on the show....

Beck has been going overboard lately. I basically agree with most of his positions, but he’s taken to expressing them in the a way that smacks of paranoia and dogmatism. He comes across as desperate, fearful, and lacking objectivity, and that doesn’t help promote his message. Sure, many of the already-converted cheer him on, but they’re not the ones who need to be reached with the content of the message. He also doesn’t sound particularly sincere, but more like he’s acting — exaggerating his emotional tone to get attention and ratings. He’s sounding a bit like a televangelist, trying to build up fear in viewers that millions of souls will burn in hell for eternity unless you “send money to this important ministry today”.

I caught a few minutes of Beck last weekend, and it was like listening to Susan Estrich. You don’t really care what she’s saying, because the tone is so bizarre and unpleasant that you instinctively want to disagree with her, without even considering the specific content.

Van Jones is one of the founders of “Color of Change”. Jones thinks that he can shut down Beck through his political organizing, but all he has done is stir up a hornet’s nest.

The more Jones tries to shut up Beck, the more Beck digs into Jones’ background. Jones is pretty much finished, even if Obama keeps him on the payroll, he will accomplish nothing. I predict that Obama will keep Jones through the end of the year and then try to dump him quietly.
