It's been a bumpy ride for Carly Fiorina, the former CEO of Hewlett-Packard who's planning to run against Barbara Boxer for her Senate seat in California.
First there were questions about whether a company she claimed to run actually existed; then there were issues about her voting record -- or lack thereof -- and now it's emerged that under her leadership and despite a trade embargo, HP somehow found a way to sell a lot of printers and other tech gear in Iran.
Of course, Fiorina's campaign (now accustomed to damage control) insists that everything was utterly above-board, and it does appear as though the company managed to avoid breaking the letter of the law; sales were conducted through a third party, so HP managed to steer clear of the embargo.
But during her time at the helm time, Fiorina and her company's partners were making a lot of positive comments about trading in Iran; and, more broadly, Fiorina has heaped praise upon Islamic civilzation in general.
Critics say former HP CEO Carly Fiorina is giving the truth the back of her hand in discussing that company's dealings with Iran.
Fiorina's opponent in the upcoming primary, Chuck DeVore, has so far avoided international controversy. (He has also managed to avoid raising enough money for his campaign.) Polls show Barbara Boxer winning the election, but the margin is narrowing -- or at least is was before this latest news hit.

There was once a civilization that was the greatest in the world.
It was able to create a continental super-state that stretched from ocean to ocean, and from northern climes to tropics and deserts. Within its dominion lived hundreds of millions of people, of different creeds and ethnic origins.
One of its languages became the universal language of much of the world, the bridge between the peoples of a hundred lands. Its armies were made up of people of many nationalities, and its military protection allowed a degree of peace and prosperity that had never been known. The reach of this civilizations commerce extended from Latin America to China, and everywhere in between.
And this civilization was driven more than anything, by invention. Its architects designed buildings that defied gravity. Its mathematicians created the algebra and algorithms that would enable the building of computers, and the creation of encryption. Its doctors examined the human body, and found new cures for disease. Its astronomers looked into the heavens, named the stars, and paved the way for space travel and exploration.
Its writers created thousands of stories. Stories of courage, romance and magic. Its poets wrote of love...
In praise of Islamic civilization Extract from a speech by Carly Fiorina, CEO of Hewlett-Packard.
Nice title. imagine the lefties losing a seat in California.. even to a moderate.. lolol.. ;-)
Calif. is full of Iranians and full of Jews, and these nbc scums think they can hit two birds w/ one stone w/ this hit piece, but they have forgotten about who boxer supports — mr bo-jangle himself who’s the best friend the mullahs could hope for and the worst “friend” for the Jews! boxer is going to be boxed in and hopefully crushed under the Freight Train A-Comin’!
I’d sure like to get rid of Barbara Boxer, but I can’t work up any enthusiasm for Carly Fiorina. I know she has a lot of dough, but she’s a lousy candidate. She ran HP into the ground, she’s pro-abort, and she’s about as conservative in general as Arnie.
Of course they won’t look into Box-a-Rocks corruption.
Pray for the Tea Party Express
The fact that the Middle-Eastern culture has declined over the past few centuries really doesn't affect the truth of what Fiorina says. The fact that a once great culture has been overtaken by radicals and hoodlums doesn't wipe away history. The same is true of China, IMHO. On the other hand, Fiorina herself destroyed a once great corporate culture when she took the helm of HP. Boxer vs Fiorina - "What can I serve you, the hemlock or the arsenic?"
Ho hum...
The Democrats’ smear machine is running overtime again. THIS time the target is Ms. Fiorina.
Let’s not buy into the Democrat’s hypocritical BS that every Republican candidate must be “purer” than Caesar’s wife on every single issue.
If Ms. Fiorina will sincerely support shrinking governnment and shrinking government spending (i.e. waste), I’ll support her.
Please remember that the “no footprint” standard gave us Justice Souter.
In the future please do not refer to "Boxer" as "Boxer" (oops, I just made the same mistake you did.) Also "ma'am" is not appropriate even if you happen to be a senior General in the military. Only "Senator Boxer" is acceptable. I'm sure this was just a mistake on your part but, as you know, rules are rules. LOL.
Are you sure she’s pro-abortion. A friend of mine in the area knows her, and said she is pro-life.
“Before Battling Boxer, Carly Fiorina Unusually Cozy With Iran (Hit Piece)”
wow i am tired, i misread this at first thought it said “Before BATHING Boxer,....” and almost yacked
yikes i need caffeine
My husband heard from her mouth that she’s pro-life.
Anybody is better than Boxer. Anybody.
I always use the respectful “Senator Box-of-rocks”.

You're right. It doesn't. What she said is false then and it remains false now. Most of the "contributions" of Mohammedanism to civilization were not in fact original. A great deal of the mathematical "contributions" (like the zero, for example) were simply stolen from the Hindus, or from other captive populations that were far more advanced than their conquerors. The Mohammedans preserved Aristotle for the West. Who deserves credit? The Turks or the Greeks?
Mohammedanism's "Golden Age" was mostly an age when bloodthirsty conquerors lived off of the depreciation of their territories, and, like Soviet Russia, once their advance was halted and they'd sucked their satellites dry their "civilization" began its long but inexorable decline.
Support DeVore.
I may be wrong. I read that she was pro-choice, but the source may have been wrong.
