Martha Coakley? That’s close enough to Martha Moxley for the Kennedy connection. She’s in.

Coakley is going nowhere. She has no Federal $$$, only state $$$, which cannot be converted.

IMO, Joe Kennedy II isn't going to run. He's making too much $$$ being Hugo Chavez's mouthpiece.

Steve Lynch is the least anti-American of the Rat field. If Curt Schilling isn't running, I'm voting for him. Lynch is pro-life and has publicly raised doubts about voting for Deathcare.

The key character here is Mike Capuano. US Rep, former mayor of Somerville, MA. He will get the blessings of the Kennedys. Why? He's a real leftist, and if he was to win, the US Rep seat he is in becomes open. Who held that seat in the past? John Kennedy and Joe Kennedy II. The rumor is Kennedy II wants his son, named, you guessed it, Joe Kennedy III to run for that seat. Another Congressional seat that these as*holes think they own.

Stop Capuano in the Primary, elect either a Republican or Steve Lynch and that's a BIG improvement over “Uncle Ted”. It also shuts out the Kennedys in MA. And who woulda thunk that could happen?

Lynch’s ACU rating is virtually indistinguishable from the other MA rodents, they’ve all been pulled to the Stalinist left, so I wouldn’t honor any of them with a vote. It’s too bad that Ray Flynn didn’t beat Capuano in ‘98, he was the closest to a DINO as you could get, and in a district that has been Democrat since the Irish Catholics took it over in the late 19th century (but doubtful they’d recognize nor approve the Stalinist apostates occupying the seat over the past few decades).

I wonder if this Democrat had anything to do with railroading the Amarault family into prison over absolutely nothing.

No need to wonder. Martha Coakley is the personification of "stupid c*nt".

Stupid.

Yes Croakley has the countenance of an empty-skulled East Coast liberal Dimocrat.

Good call on Ray Flynn. For some reason Menino doesn’t like him at all. Thought I read where Mayor Flynn was ill with cancer. Prayers.

Howie Carr’s article mentions the ‘positives’ about Steve Lynch. I still think he’s the least anti-American of the MA Rats. Love to see Curt run, no other GOP/RINO/Ind has a shot but him. Scott Brown? He’s suited for Lt. Gov. Healy? I don’t see it. Why vote for a RINO/Rat-Lite when you can vote for a Rat (Coakley).

The big attraction to me is to end the Kennedy reign. A vote for Lynch (or any other Rat, in theory) is one less for Capuano, who by all intents and purposes will be the Kenendy proxy. This Kennedy bullsh*t must come to an end, once and for all; keeping Capuano in the US House helps to do that, in spades.

Thank you, Nutmeg.

Coakley has the support of EMILY List and other militant feminist organizations, and they are very well-heeled.

I thought it was former Mayor Kevin White that was quite ill, I hadn’t heard if Ambassador Flynn was ill.

I think the problem with Lynch is that if he moves statewide, he’ll likely lurch even further leftward (like Gillibrand in NY, who gave the heave-ho to her only positive stance of being pro-2A). He’s already moved far-left since he was elected to succeed Joe Moakley.

I’ve stated my opinion many times that if a district is to elect a Democrat, and if they aren’t Conservative (and let’s face it, there aren’t any Conservative Democrats left in Congress — the most Conservative was a moderate liberal, but there are zero right of center Democrats, at least as of 2008, the caucus forced what few that used to vote Conservatively half the time, hard left), it’s just best for the most divisive, ugliest-sounding and -looking Stalinist to be elected. Why ? Because they put a face on their radicalism and scare the straights elsewhere. Electing a quiet leftist who is rarely ever seen or heard doesn’t do us any favors.

Prime example, former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney of Georgia. A lot of FReepers were cheering when she was taken down in the primary, but there was scarcely anything to cheer, because the two individuals that beat her were still very liberal, they just were quieter and friendlier (her current successor, Hank Johnson, is a Black Buddhist, but very left-wing). Mention Hank Johnson to a Republican, and few will know who he is, but mention Cynthia... The moonbats do serve a purpose for us.

As for Scott Brown, you’re probably right that he’s more Lt Governor material. Curt needs to just jump in, he’s got nothing to lose, and neither do we.

I agree that Michael Capuano is the one to watch. He’s a radical moonbat with a modest, blue-collar background. If I were a liberal ‘Rat strategist or working for the DNC, I’d pushing for Capuano. He has appeal to both the elitist leftist snobs (voting record) and the working class stiffs (personal biography).

Michael Barone writes in his Almanac of American Politics that control of the Cambridge-based CD has been alternated between “townies” and Kennedys for over the past 65 years: James Michael Curley, John F. Kennedy, Tip O’Neill, Joseph P. Kennedy and Michael Capuano. If Capuano gets elected to the Senate (God forbid), a Kennedy would be due to take the seat.

I’d chug paint thinner before I’d actually vote for Lynch.

Really? You dislike him that much? Again, unless I'm missing something, who else is better (or less leftist) of the MA House delegation? Coakley shafted the Fells Acres people and also has the support of the radical leftist EMILY’s List, which disqualifies her automatically in my book. Joe Kennedy? Capuano? Neal? Olver? Markey? Barney Frank? All gross...

I hope Curt runs and wins. Outside of him, the seat stays Rat. Kerry Healy seems like a nice lady, but she's a social lib and has no real shot. Scott Brown???

This is a classic of choosing the least painful or deadly disease over the others. Lynch would be, at least on the surface, an improvement over Ted Kennedy or any other Rat.

Fieldmarshal brings up some really good points, and AuH2O brings up the history of the Cambridge US Rep seat. I still maintain that killing of the Kennedy dynasty is of huge importance. Electing someone other than Capuano does that. I'd LOVE to see Curt win, but if not him, I hold my nose and vote for Lynch. At least he's not an outright embarrassment (yet, unlike a Kennedy or Barney Frank).

Fieldmarshal: Mayor Kevin White has Alzheimer's, Ambassador Flynn has cancer. There was some rancor about Menino naming something after him while he's still around.

OK, I didn't know both of them were ill. Can't think of anything off the top of my head that Mumbles could name something after Flynn. How 'bout Boston Common as Flynn Common ? ;-)

Hyperbole. I wouldn’t actually endure a painful death before I’d vote for Lynch. ;)

I’d rather see him win than the other rats.

But I would not personally vote ever for a liberal democrat (except in local Chicago races like alderman where the only choice was between 1 of 2 liberal democrats).

And I wouldn’t vote in their primary if that’s what you are talking about. Might be good strategy in one party Massachusetts but I don’t think Lynch is better ‘enough’ than the rest to merit a vote from MA freepers.

Your disease analogy is perfect. I used the same to describe our GOP presidential frontrunners.

But Lynchitis is hardly less deadly than the rest.

“I’d rather see him win than the other rats.”

Very well stated!!!

I would vote in the Rat primary if only to keep Capuano or Coakley from getting the nomination. And Capuano staying put blocks the Kennedys taking that US Rep. seat. I look at that as a two-fer.

Let's hope that we do not need to use a disease analogy to describe our GOP presidential contenders in 2012.
