To those of you whom have responded to my comment, let me just say that it is my opinion.
I also hope that I am wrong, I really sincerely do.
Power could be seized in a number of ways. Manufactured emergency that results in suspension of the constitution for one. Well armed, well funded civilian army blocking access to polls for another. Illegal signing of an international treaty which no longer recognizes our constitution.
I’m not sure if any of these things will play out. However I am sure that our government is controlled by the most power hungry people that I have ever seen. Do any of you think that any of them give one flying **** about the constitution? I know I don’t.
And, yes, such an event would trigger a war within the country. One that most citizens with families aren’t organizationally prepared to fight, which means that civilians would likely be defeated. During most communist takeovers, large segments of the population are eliminated outright.
I do not trust the federal government of this country at all. It is as sinister as anything that I have ever seen in my entire life. Do you expect the party that stole three senate seats post-election to honorably step aside because we voted them out?
I hate to sound paranoid, but something struck me today. I’ve heard this more and more frequently, but today there was almost an urgency in Glenn and Rush in this statement.
“Who is really in charge? Who is really running this country?”
It was the tone in both of their voices and it makes me afraid that they know something we don’t. That they know Obama really ISN’T running the show. Not just speculation, but serious knowledge and it scares the crap out them.
This has gone beyond “Who is going to raise my taxes” people. We all feel it. Even folks who aren’t ‘into’ politics feel it. There is an undercurrent that is causing everyone I know to be edgy and their sixth sense is picking up on it.
I’m not psychic, but I feel like September is a big month. Like frightening big month. I don’t know about death or anything, but the death of our economy (and vulnerability to other countries) is just as scary.

It would never happen. Besides, they would have to block tens of thousands of them all at once. And if they tried, the governors would call up the NG to get rid of them. And if THEY didn’t do it, the citizens would and I would be in the thick of it.
When I enlisted in the Navy, I took an oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. I was never released from that oath and I will still uphold my end of it.
