He served in the Army of the United States as an enlisted man in the military police. He was a United States senator for 47 years. I may not have agreed with his politics or countenanced his personal behavior, but his burial in Arlington near his brothers does not offend me in any way.

Considering the fact that "Black Jack" the horse that paraded in JFK's funeral is also buried in the Arlington cemetary (at the border of Ft. Myer--home of the Old Guard), it shouldn't bother anyone.
