Kennedy to be buried at Arlington - What a Travesty!

Just heard on noon news that Kennedy will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery. What an insult to our troops!

oh goody - the democrats have such a reputation for turning funerals into classless circuses. So they’ll use Arlington as a stage for passing healthcare. Can’t wait for the spectacle.

how far into the service before Arlen specter tells us that if we had KenyanCare that Kennedy would still be alive?

Respect for my late FiL, along with the numerous other honourable men and women, and bonafide heroes, buried there would tend to temper my desire to "water" Fat Drunk Ted's resting place.

I hope they keep Ed-Lard-O's alcohol soaked carcass a safe distance away from this. At best, it would contribute significantly to global warming. At worst, it could explode and injure dozens.

"..(e) Persons who have held any of the following positions, provided their last period of active duty (other than for training) as a member of the Armed Forces terminated honorably:

(1) An elective office of the United States Government..."

Ted Kennedy

Is there a large group who can be in DC and along the funeral route in view of the cameras and can lift “Remember MaryJo” signs at the right time? What a travesty. This really is going to be a Wellstone moment but I don’t think this will save their ill fated heathcare plans.

May 14, 1983 document from the KGB archives reveals that Senator Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) reached out to the General Secretary of the Soviet Union’s Communist Party, Yuri Andropov, to propose a kind of public relations strategy to counter President Reagan’s defense policy initiatives toward the Soviet Union, policies that Kennedy felt were too aggressive.

According to another article..Members of Congress can be buried there. I have ceased to be amazed at what these self serving politicians will do. They believe they are the royal ruling class and as such, deserve the honored spot. It is just the cheap #$^&@ way of avoiding financial responsibility to the end. The American taxpayer will shoulder the cost.
