No such thing as a “former” veteran.

This crap is not going to end until we go to Galt’s Gulch and end it. You want to stop the water breaching the levee?
Fix the levee and cut them off.
I am really sick of it. Fat Teddy666 was an enemy, a domestic enemy, who helped the muslim destroyer Obama gain power.
Each day as we sit here in outrage, they are taking down America. Our kids are going to be nothing but slaves to these people.
I am to the point I can no longer watch it happen.

I am just beyond speech with ANGER at this public relations move to put all the "brothers" together. There are many REAL heros in Arlington. My father was just interred there w/ honors at 93- combat decorated Navy Silver Star who save the lives of 85 men in WWII, twice.
Ted Kennedy is at minimum guilty of manslaughter (please, everyone with half a brain agrees on this- the neck brace alone was living proof of his complete disdain for us "regular" people), an alcoholic caricature of a political machine animal pig and demonstrated destroyer of the American way of life as our forefathers envisioned it. Where does one start-- the creator of HMOs and ERISA, and then has the gall to condemn HMOs so his pals in the tort bar can lick their chops. Teddy we hardly knew ye! Hiccup. Obamacare- need I say more. And we must never forget the NAZIS that are the Kennedy clan in the grand tradition of the old IRA. Recall that Ted's daddy was appointed by FDR to be Amb to St. James in WWII and had to be silenced again and again for his embarrassing embracing of Herr Hitler, Goering and Goebbels along with the rest of English (Catholic and Protestant) aristocracy-- while our brave soldiers and sailors and allies battled national socialism and fascism so that the oppressed in Europe and Asia would live free. A family with money derived from bootlegging, and political thievery and payoff- greasers all. Camelot? Where the hell did that come from? Massachussetts has a lot to answer for, and it is desperately hard to be a Christian in thinking about where Dear Father Ted has gone. Heaven or hell, absolve' or not- he is damned. No dispensation, papal or otherwise. We should never forget who he was and who his ilk are and what they represent. In all of Arlington's history there are but few there with this kind of total bullshit history. I believe from many hills there the spirits will come down to haunt his him and his grave- especially those who died while he castigated their service, and the leaders who honored their sacrifice. He will not rest, and he shouldn't. Sorry to have personalized this but it IS personal and should be for all Americans of principle, both liberal and conservative, Left or Right. There is such a thing as bald facade and fakery. This will include the great "gnashing of teeth" and funereal crocodile tears of the leeching opportunists of the thieving class of political whores. Will Clinton's cry on cue? Will Obama? Will Dodd make the sandwiches? Do not respond to this manipulation from those who have not the slightest concern for our well being or respect for the millions who have given their lives for freedom. Honor the honorable. I will put Ted's "military" history on another post. It is indeed a joke, like him. For any citizen other than this chimaera, they would have been under consideration by Arlington and the Army, and rejected for any other service other than inurnment (cremation and a wall niche for the urn). The ultimate insult from a pol who sapped the very lifeblood from our country. Shame.

“Commodore of the Buick” Teddy’s military bio. A moron with Daddy’s blessings—2 BIG years in the Army honor guard in Paris during Korea. And when on leave... ooh lah lah!
From wikipedia:
Kennedy enlisted in the United States Army in June 1951.[10] Following basic training at Fort Dix, he requested assignment to Fort Holabird for Army Intelligence training, but was dropped after a few weeks without explanation.[10] He went to Camp Gordon for training in the Military Police Corps.[10] In June 1952, he was assigned to the honor guard at SHAPE headquarters in Paris.[4][10] His father’s political connections ensured he was not deployed to the ongoing Korean War.[4][11] While stationed in Europe he travelled extensively on weekends and climbed the Matterhorn.[12] He was discharged in March 1953 as a private first class.[10][12]
Freepers, this says it all. Sic Semper Tyrannis.

It used to be that one of the distinguishing features of conservatives, relative to liberals, was our respect for the recently deceased, or at least consideration for their families.
The comments on this thread are embarrassing, and they set a bad precedent.

I agree.
To a point.
The liberals set the rules and complacency has gotten us where we are today. Reminds me of McCainiac still wanting to “reach across the aisle”...this clown could literally be another Max Cleland missing most of his limbs from extending them across the aisle and he still doesn’t get it and too much is at stake to continue not getting it!
My condolences to the people that loved Kennedy, but I’m happy for the country that he can not inflict any more damage on this once great nation.
Liberals are a menace.

Many Summers—In world history, there are a few times that conservatives (or any one else) could not contain their disdain for the individuals who exemplify the worst in humanity. People like Caligula, Nero, Hitler, Stalin,Mao, Pol Pot, Castro come to mind. Historians and realists will not be “kind” just to be quiet. Facts are sticky commodities. What has been discussed on this thread is not subjective or hypothetic. And, that is why it is appalling and should be!! I would beg to differ that to argue for a “good” conservative to remain silent about verifiable facts and provable demonstrated behaviour which is reprehensible and categorically disqualifying for honorable burial in Arlington plays EXACTLY into the hands of liberal fellow travelers. The question of decency was asked over and over again in this person’s life, and the mother’s love of political money found those questions avoided-over and over. You are simply wrong- conservative or not there is a right and wrong. Truth may be that which is remembered— but we will be doing the remembering and reminding. I will not give consideration to those who have none and have shone it day by day.

And I just hope, that when Bill Clinton's or Obama's day comes there is no push to bury them at Arlington. Two HUGE narcissistic assholes. Of course they, or their families, will demand it.

According to the official Arlington National Cemetery site, any active-duty member of the U.S. armed forces or American veteran retired from active service is eligible for burial there. Veterans who are retired from the reserves are eligible for burial in Arlington if they served in active duty, reached the age of 60, and drew retired pay. Also, any former member of the armed forces who was discharged honorably for medical reasons and rated 30% disabled or more prior to October 1, 1949, can be buried in Arlington. Any former member of the armed forces who received one of these decorations is eligible: Medal of Honor, Distinguished Service Cross, Distinguished Service Medal, Silver Star, or Purple Heart. In addition, all former presidents of the U.S. are allowed an Arlington burial (only two are currently buried there -- William Taft and John F. Kennedy).
does Teddy qualify?

Joe Kennedy Jr. was rather bold in volunteering to pilot the bomber destined for the V2 site.Yeah, that took a lot of guts and I admire him for it.
I thought they were after a rocket launch site for a successor to the V2. In any event, I don't quarrel with the Kennedy brothers' war records.
