Was there any Byrd comment on the talk of using reconciliation to pass the federal health care takeover in direct violation of the rules to the reconciliation process (via amendment) bearing his name? I know, silly question.

I was at a candidate announcement for Lt Governor and then talked to someone who is in the know who said that Byrd is in really bad shape and would not know what to do or say.
