You can count illegals.
You can count the homeless using “estimates”.
You can not count Utah’s citizens who are out of state doing good works....sigh

I’m sure the ACORN types would choose to overlook the missionaries even if they were all home.

An experiment in counting Americans abroad in 2004 turned into a "colossal failure," said Louis KincannonOh Ok...Liberals believe they can change the earths climate but they cant accurately count overseas missionary's. Gotcha.

They could bring the missionaries home for the census.
I am not sure teaching the fairy tales of the convicted fraud, Joseph Smith counts as good works.

When I cut through all of my personal feelings about the LDS Church and Mormonism and look at the issue on its merits, I come to a conclusion.
Utah is right and Washington DC is wrong as usual.

Few Americans responded to an outreach program in three sample countries Mexico, France and Kuwait. That is the choice of the individual (assuming they actually received the "memo"...).
And while I may not agree with Mormonism, this shouldn't be about religion. This is about counting citizens of a state (and illegals should NOT count in any way but how many busses and planes are needed (or train cars?) to sent them back to their country of origin.

Fine. If they won't count these missionaries so that they can receive their lawfully entitled congressional representation, then those missionaries should be free to skip paying taxes on income they earn.
On that note, I am sure the IRS has zero trouble finding anyone who owes any US federal tax, regardless of where in the world said person may live.

don’t count missionaries. Just all the illegals, ACORN grifters, homeless parasites (estimate) and the rest of the freak fest that are the democrat party.

In the year 2000, Algore spearheaded an effort in Florida to disallow votes by military personnel voting from overseas. He said the envelopes lacked proof of date, i.e., postmarks. Military personnel serving in war zones can send mail to the U.S. which doesn’t require the normal post office processing - Gore tried to use this technicality since he assumed (probably rightly) that military personnel were heavily against him.

No matter what can or can’t be said of Mormon doctrines, not many can disagree that they are the premier record keepers outside of a few government agencies...and even that is debatable.
It is an absolutely safe bet that the Mormon Church has 99.9999% accurate centralized records of where every missionary is; where they are from; when they were sent; and when they are scheduled to return.
