I use the Winchester 230-gr. JHP loads for defense, and at least to this point have not had any feed issues, either in my Kimber or Taurus 1911’s. I’ve been considering buying the supplies to load my own - not a cheap prospect, but it may yet come to that.

“...the Winchester 230-gr. JHP loads for defense...”

I approve. I like the heavier slugs and do not like anything below 180gr for 45 ACP. If it doesn’t mushroom...it is still a big heavy slug.

I watched part of the clip, and what I saw was over the edge, but interesting.

I had to look up "mack daddy", and it's apparently an ostentatiously dressed...um...broker.

Just bought an AR-15, piece by piece. About to take it to a gun shop for final assembly.

Suggestion..Depending on Manufacturer, Order the manual and assemble it yourself. Take your time. There are a couple of tools and special gages you will need but they are not expensive and worth having if you are serious. You will learn more about your weapon and have a deeper understanding of its operation. This knowledge can come in very useful in a pinch. If you are nervous you can always have your work checked by a gunsmith.

Just a suggestion.

No, not for you. Also, for your safety, you must sit in the back of the bus. That would be the 5th row.

Do you live in NJ? What guns do you own? How many of those are registered?

Hmm. My original post on this thread was that (whoever I responded to) should leave NJ. My follow on was that all the cops had guns. My last post was a question? You’re saying I’m wrong that cops don’t have guns in NJ? Or that the person I responded to should leave NJ? (he agreed with me by the way). You just out to pick a fight tonight or are you that seriously lacking in reading skills?

????? Guns are not *illegal* in New Jersey. I own legal handguns, shotguns, rifles.

And I live in NJ.

Yes, you have to follow the law.......but they are NOT illegal.

"Aren't they junk guns?
Because I remember my mothers Raven 25.."

Raven, Jennings and Hi-Point are different companies. I carry a Hi-Point Model C9 9mm (about $130 retail) when I do security work, and it works just fine, never had a misfire at the range, and the price is exceptional. It is a tad heavy due to the design, but not overly so. They have a full, lifetime, transferable warranty, and are made in Ohio, USA, so how can you lose?
