Make the 2010 and 12 elections a referendum on Obama care and the Republicans can roll back into power. Course if Republican votes pass it then that ruins that. I expect the Republicans will ruin that.

Once this is passed, and a huge bureaucracy is put in place, it will never come out.

Never.

If someone can name ONE government program of that level that has ever gotten smaller or been removed in our lifetimes, I will consider it otherwise.

I heard this will spawn at LEAST 45 new government agencies, I am guessing hundreds of thousands of new jobs, and that will all act as the cement to ensure it will NEVER EVER go away. It will only get bigger.

States need to secede from the union if it passes. What comes after that is 0’s choice.

Between 2011 and 2013 it will require a veto proof majority in Congress. After 2012 a different President will need a 50% Congress. If is passes there is little chance it can be changed before 2013 and by then it may be too late.

Another good reason to control your states. Control them and you control the Feds. Each quarter, organize Town Hall meetings. If the politicians don’t show up, have them anyway and publicize the results. Allow people to have their say in a public forum. Do this in Cities and counties.

I was wondering about something: Suppose, just suppose, the American people, the majority of whom do not want this 0bamanation of 0bamacare. The bill passes and the American people refuse to comply? With so many refusals to comply, could it not be said the Americans can take health care back into their own hands and doctors and patients work the plans for payment and treatment out between them?
Can anyone share how medical care was provide for and paid for before Medicare came into practice which I think is the first foothold the govt had into the developing mess we have now? How was it done then and is it possible to go back to that method?

Some good may come out of Der Fuhrer's edict that we should all have government run healthcare - those that stood passively by, while this kenyan socialist dismantled our freedoms and our Country, are now enraged!

0bama has bitten off way more than he can chew, and when he tells Americans to "shut up", he has vastly underestimated us!

They need to pass nullification laws to the point that they have de facto seceded, and not actually declare secession.

Let the feds be the aggressors.

I think that it can and will be stopped if the republicans
win the house back in 2010, because it is a bad bill.
Unlike soc, medicare and other bills that remain, HR 3200
will not go into effect until 2012-14 and I believe that it
can be stopped before it takes effect. Once it has taken
effect is where it would be a problem to reverse.

I've been seriously asking the same questions about “everything leftist” on all of the issues, ever since just after the November ‘06 election! If “non-leftists” STILL can't successfully “fix”: the worsening tax system, the worsening entitlement programs, and everything else that's really bad with the entire U.S. government, from FDR's years as POTUS on past today, then how can “non-leftists” actually “fix” socialized health care as well as everything else bad that BO signs into law?

If the GOP ran on a platform to repel the healthcare bill and to eliminate the taxes that will be implemented in the next two years they will win a landslide in 2010. The problem, though, is Obama will veto any attempt to repeal those bills.

No, the problem is that the GOP wants to run on a platform of moderatism not conservatism. McCain and Bono-Mack are more what they have in mind rather than DeMint and Pence.

1) Supreme court maybe
2) States opt out
3) Civil War

Exactly. Even if #1 and #2 above don't play out - #3 is definitely going to happen as soon as individual people across the country by the millions find out their care has been 'rationed' and 'grandma' doesn't get the care she has always gotten. And it won't be the conservatives out there rioting in the streets - it will be the LIBERAL THUGS who have promoted this thing and found out they didn't get their piece of pie.

So either way if this monstrosity is passed there will be trouble in the streets. War is coming folks...like it or not..........

If they don’t get it passed by the end of 2009,
they aren’t going to get it.

2010 is an election year, they won’t pass anything this controversial in 2010.

2011 will have the GOP in the majority of one or both houses.

...”With the “Public Option,” is the Federal government going to abide by 50 separate State Insurance Boards’ rules? Methinks not, and yet again the Interstate Commerce Clause gets perverted even further.”...

The “Public Option” is intended to kill off private health insurance. Read HR 3200. In other words, Barack Obama, the POTUS, is targeting for elimination an industry that directly employs an estimated 2 million individuals, whose companies comprise a large component of publicly traded issues that are contained in 401ks and other investment vehicles, and has the infrastructure in place to run health care reimbursement. This attempt by Obama to destroy and industry and take over about 16% of the US GDP is unprecedented, frightening, and enraging at the same time.

This issue is about total control of the populace at the most personal level. Obama and the leftist democrats are seeking a permanent, unassailable voting majority. It must be stopped at all costs.

The ultimate weakness in the Obama Care bill (whichever one that might be) is that it can simply be defunded in any given year.

Thanks muawiyah, good point. As everyone else said, lets hope it doesnt come to this. But if so, it cant be implemented without funding, and the GOP would have the people on thier side!!

“Chances of any attempt to drop or reverse legislation are almost zero. Our congressional reps are simply actors on the political stage. They talk a good game, but they are all one team behind the curtain.”

This is my fear.

I think the government is of one mind and they are trying to drag the American people into socialism against their will.

There may not be another moment in our history where we need to draw the line and fight to the bitter end. It is time to stand and to risk our treasure and lives to see that our Constitutional Republic survives and is restored!!

We no longer have the luxury if sitting passively and watch the destruction of this Great Nation!!

It can be stopped if Republican's take over congress in 2010 and, perhaps more importantly, have the backbone to do what it takes. They would have to insert a repeal of the bill into every piece of legislation that they pass and be willing to shut down the government for an indefinite period until Obama signs it or enough democrats come on board to override a veto. Unfortunately, like they did in 1995, Republicans would probably wimp out as soon as their poll numbers dropped a couple percent, and the MSM starts running all these sob stories about people that can't survive without their precious goobermint services...

This sort of law, no matter how overwhelming the opposition might be, once it is passed will never be repealed by the Republicans even if they sweep the congressional and presidential elections. Anything the right gets can and will be swept away with the next left majority. The right, being conservative, will not change Tradition, even if that tradition is only 48 hours old. Conservatives, once elected, become Republicans, or more appropriately, Tories, conservative but only of their own prerogatives. It is almost a law of politics for the Right- we work hard and elect our guys and they aren’t our guys anymore.
