WASHINGTON – A committee that investigated VIP mortgage deals for Democratic Sens. Chris Dodd and Kent Conrad has cleared both of them of breaking Senate rules.

The Select Committee on Ethics tells Dodd of Connecticut and Conrad of North Dakota in separate letters that it has found "no substantial credible evidence" that their Countrywide mortgages broke Senate gift rules.

For cryin' out loud, a former Countrywide exec testified UNDER OATH that Dodd and Conrad KNEW they were getting special treatment. Yet that is just swept under the rug. And yet the madarins in Washington can't understand why the folks back home are so IRATE. Here is exhibit A, you jackasses.

The committee ignored sworn testimony that both knew they were getting special treatment. It's not a problem with the rules - it's a problem with the corrupt mandarins who are supposed to enforce them. The entire lot, save a few like Coburn, Inhofe, Demint and Sessions, needs to be voted out of office. The corruption is nearly as deep on the GOP side.
