Top White House aides gave Senate Democrats a recess battle plan on Thursday, arming the lawmakers with tips for avoiding disastrous town hall meetings while showing them polling on popular aspects of the reform effort.
Senior White House adviser David Axelrod and deputy chief of staff Jim Messina told senators to focus on the insured and how they would benefit from consumer protections" in the overhaul, such as ending the practice of denying insurance based on preexisting conditions and ensuring the continuity of coverage between jobs.
They showed video clips of the confrontational town halls that have dominated the media coverage, and told senators to do more prep work than usual for their public meetings by making sure their own supporters turn out, senators and aides said.
And they screened TV ads and reviewed the various campaigns by critics of the Democratic plan.

The list, ping
Here come the jack-booted Nazis! Get ready!
Let them punch; we’ll bring bats.
They don’t like getting a dose of their own medicine (our kind of healthcare).
Well, Demos, hold your nose, open your mouth, swallow, shut up, and then bend over for another dose of medicine, Barney Frank style. You deserve it.
Oh, are elected reps are gonna punch us? Bring it, you sniveling little sissies.
Hit back with what? If Dims want to support this bottom-of-the-barrel legislation, they can stand up and explain why they support it. If they can’t, then they’re wasting their time. Also, memo to the Magic Kenyan: the Independants who got you elected are running away from you as fast as they can. Do me a favor? Please insult them and piss them off as well. That would make your collapse complete and final. Thank you.
lol... Yeah!... LIE LOUDER! That always puts your point across... makes people believe you...
Obama: “Yeah... show those dumb constituents who’s boss!”
And they have the nerve to allege that WE are “Astroturfing”?
I think it would be cool if people started standing up at these protests and just started reading from the bill...
The reps obviously don’t want to argue about whats in there, SO EDUCATE THEM!
So what, now ONLY dems get represented???
What a joke..Liberals. They run fast when confronted by TAXPAYERS. In person. How dare they bite the hands that feed them.
Do they understand what they are saying and doing??? Fight back? They are SUPPOSED to be LISTENING to the people who elected them........
Axelrod Astroturfing: President-elect, Obama
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2140964/posts? When someone tries to promote a fraudulent public image, the best way to counter the forged image is to see how the forgery is constructed.
Astroturfing is a David Axelrod specialty. He is seeking to use the methodology to promote his fraudulent affirmative action candidate for president. It is a purposed deceit.
From wikipedia:
DEFINITION = Astroturfing in American English is a neologism for formal public relations campaigns in politics and advertising which seek to create the impression of being spontaneous "grassroots" behavior, hence the reference to the artificial grass,
The goal of such a campaign is to disguise the efforts of a political or commercial entity as an independent public reaction to some political entitya politician, political group, product, service or event. Astroturfers attempt to orchestrate the actions of apparently diverse and geographically distributed individuals, by both overt ("outreach", "awareness", etc.) and covert (disinformation) means. Astroturfing may be undertaken by an individual pushing a personal agenda or highly organized professional groups with financial backing from large corporations, non-profits, or activist organizations. Very often the efforts are conducted by political consultants who also specialize in opposition research.
Astroturfing is a form of propaganda whose techniques usually consist of a few people attempting to give the impression that mass numbers of enthusiasts advocate some specific cause.
The term "astroturfing" is also used to describe public relations activities aimed at "falsely creating the impression of independent, popular support by means of an orchestrated and disguised public relations exercise.
It has become easier to structure a commercial astroturfing campaign in the electronic era. Companies may use a boiler room full of telephones and computers where hired activists locate people and groups who create enthusiasm for the specified cause. Also, the use of psychographics allows hired supporters to persuade their targeted audience.
The use of president-elect, Obama is just such a psychographic as described above. The media is enthusiastically using the phrase and even Hillary Clinton has used it in public.
All this President-elect psychobabble is a designed campaign to arrange a powerful extortion position where, if Obama is rejected because he is not Constitutionally eligible--as he may actually know all too well at this point, the American public and the courts will meet the threat of extreme violence should the Astroturf affirmative action candidate be rejected by application of Constitutional law.
We are witnessing a professional astroturfing campaign to establish a fraud as the only choice in order to avoid violence. Axelrod is a professional deceiver. He is ideal for the promotion of a fraudulent affirmative action candidate, and extortion is the Chicago Way.
Here is what they are going to try to do to silence those who attend the town hall meetings:
1) bring more people to events than we do;
2) arrive earlier than we do and sit up front to be very visible to cameras;
3) study venue staging ahead of time to plan strategy
4) be more visible than we are and situate their signs where cameras are;
5) assign 3-5 people to approach each reporter to shape the narrative;
6) interrupt us and refocus the meeting;
7) dont debate us and prep their side with questions;
8) repetition of their talking points is key to their strategy;
9) organize their own town hall meetings and choose a venue that is difficult for us to attend; put protesters in the back; make us submit questions and select the questions to be asked; collect all signs and leaflets that are not the ones they provided;
10) assign people to greet reporters and enter and leave the meeting with them to minimize the chances we will have to speak to the reporters.
