We saw quite a few falling stars last weekend while having a family campout. It was kind of neat to see the little ones getting a look at their first falling stars.

The night sky is one of my favorite things about camping.

We saw quite a few falling stars last weekend while having a family campout. I'm sure you know they're not really falling or shooting stars, but rather tiny sand and dust debris from a passing comet.

A couple years back we had a late BBQ and then laid on blankets in the backyard. We had four little ones - under the age of 7 - and it was so cool how excited they got when they saw a falling star. Some were so impressive that even the adults got excited at times.
