"Clinton expressed words of sincere apology to Kim Jong Il for the hostile acts committed by the two American journalists against the DPRK after illegally intruding into it," the news agency reported. "Clinton courteously conveyed to Kim Jong Il an earnest request of the U.S. government to leniently pardon them and send them back home from a humanitarian point of view.

Yeah, but I get the ‘journalists’ get to ‘pay’ him back on the plane ride back...it’s the main reason he went....

...and there’s more: “The report said Clinton then conveyed a message from President Obama “expressing profound thanks for this and reflecting views on ways of improving the relations between the two countries.”

More likely, they repeated the insults of last week against Hillary (”shrill, stupid school child” or the like) and Bill responded, “Yeah, no kidding, I’ve been married to her for 35 years.”

But, I heard that the 0bama administration didn’t send him there. So, how can he (former President Clinton) have a message for North Korea??

I don’t think this is a great diplomatic coup for the Obama adminsistration. I’m happy the journalists are going home, but I think Kim Jong Il has gotten what he wanted, an ex-president groveling at his feet. Maybe, I’m being over the top, but I think it makes us look weak.

Credit where credit is due. As long as he didn’t make concessions for their release, I say , thank you President Clinton.

As long as he didn’t make concessions for their release,

Awful big assumption you're making there.

These are choreographed parlor tricks intended to amaze the easily amazed. He would not have even flown over there had the ‘deal’ not already been made. Zer0 gave up puh-lenty for this news-cycle diversion from the true subjects of his current nightmares — millions of angry Americans finally realizing what the bastard is really up to.

I forgot about that. I guess a Nobel Peace prize trumps defending your wife.

I don’t think you read the text: “Clinton expressed words of sincere apology to Kim Jong Il for the hostile acts committed by the two American journalists against the DPRK after illegally intruding into it,”

That sounds like a pretty big concession to me. An ex-president goes all the way to Korea to apologize face to face for “hostile acts”. These journalists didn’t do anything hostile. I’m glad the reports are home, but this makes us look like we’re agreeing with this lunatic.

This is the North Korean News Agency reporting. They also claim the Dear Leader invented electricity...not a bastion of truthfulness.

I am not assuming anything. If he did not make concessions to win their release, he should be thanked.
