Yes, I was very shocked to hear this story, and it was covered about 3 days ago here at FR, and there were many LEO’s who checked in about that story —it was North Carolina, or something, and the event was some protest against ObamaCare.

I guess most of the crowd opposed ObamaCare, and this made the SS detail pretty nervous, and for some reason they reacted in this way.

I don’t know if they had secret reasons to take this protective stance, but many on scene were puzzled and shocked, feeling that they were perceived as “the enemy”, or something.

I saw this procedure in a news clip during the campaign, right after that news report about the white supremacist plot to assassinate him.
