Using “O” instead of “0” (zero) only enforces the authenticity of the document.

Anyone who was around earlier than 1965 knows that 0=O & O=0 was very common with typewriters. Most typewriters did not have a 1 or a 0 (zero), only the more expensive ones did. You were expected to use lower case L (l) for a one (1) and upper case o (O) for a zero (0).

Since this is the case here, it just weighs in as more evidence of authenticity.

Unless our putative forger is a geezer like me who learned to type in 1962 summer school when I was 13 years old.
