What I am thinking is that there might exist 2 forms. One is the hospital copy with the weight and height, doctor’s name and exact time of birth. As the mother and baby are released home, they might be given the copy of the hospital record which is the proper birth certificate.
At the same time, there might be another form that certifies that you were born then and there. I requested a form like this for my kids when they had to receive their passports. It’s a much shorter form, and it’s format may change. For example, if I request a copy of the BC in 1997, it might look one way. If I request a copy for the exact same child in 2007, the form might look different. So we need a comparable form from 1964. Does it make sense what I’m trying to say?
Oh, to add. My husband has his original birth ceriticate (from a European country). It’s a bright orange pieace of cardboard and it has the exact time of his birth (which I used to do his horoscope). But if he goes to the authorities to get the certified copy, it would be an A4 white piece of paper with less information. It would not have his time of birth, for example.
By the time that the 14th was enacted, there were not likely any significant number of slaves whose parents had not been brought in legally.

“All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside.”
Again the NBC issue is distinct from the 14th Amen. though. Honestly, we don’t know if BO is even a citizen.

Where does one get a “standard British colonial form”? Or do you mean a filled out form taken off the internet and then cleaned up to create a “blank” form?
Everyone has been asking questions about whether and to what degree birth registry forms were standard across the empire and you refer to a “standard form.” What do you mean by that? Have you seen one? In paper or merely virtually in cyberspace?
100% correct. The linked document, with post #1 on this thread...had NO title what-so-ever. None. Either the scribd page was hacked...or someone with 'administrative' access changed it.

Well now mostly I wouldn't even respond to something like that. I mean really. At the suggestion of another Freeper, I am thinking about buying stock in a tinfoil manufacturing company.
But, it has occurred to me to wonder if there is not in fact some overriding controlling interest in charge of these events.
I tend to doubt that the prospect that he would become President of the US was in view at the time of his birth. I suggested somewhere else here that if I had been running this on day 1, he could have had a bulletproof original Hawaii birth document on file and no one would have known--it could have been done if mother and grandmother had the quality of legal help in place then that Obama does now. (Although when you say that, what I think they did that fell short smells a little like a deal where somebody like one of the suggested alternate fathers might have tried and been a short hitter financially at that point.)
But at some very early point in his career, long before Columbia; maybe before Occidental; someone or organization with significant swat was paying the bills and running the show.
The KGB? I'm not real sure who is on which side any more. I think his money and on site power all came from Saudi Arabia. But other than illegal campaign contributions, exactly how and why it got there is not on the record. And any of the controlling parties you suggest, KGB, CIA, or whatever has the capacity to move the chips around the table.
I am convinced that his features, ears, and build come primarily from his material grandfather--he's the picture of old Stanley. Conceived in October, 1963, there isn't any evidence of any other putative black father. But, the one thing that makes you think an alternate father is a possibility is that there has been some invisible hand moving the pieces in his life for some time.
Wouldn't affect the born in Kenya story; wouldn't make the kid born in Kenya any more likely to be a natural born citizen under the Constitution. So I guess I don't care in the context of the current legal setting.
The alternate father is just a variation of the tinfoil hat suggestion. Some entity for which Obama could do no wrong is paying the bills to put him in the place they want him. Anything is possible but this is a fairly long reach.
I believe the 1964 certification form is what they used in 1964 to prepare certified copies of records. Indeed, the “Registration of Birth” may be different than the “Birth Certificate”.
I just don't see any room for doubt on the basic factual question--he was born in Kenya.
Now having said that, you need to keep in mind that many times, the legal argument doesn't always come out with a result that even reflects the facts.
The consequences to the modern US polity of this battle ought to be material. The government might fall.

I’m sorry to report I cannot make out much of this. The resolution is low. What I do see is the document was cropped from another background.
