It is now going on eight month since President Bush has left office. I thank God for the time he was our President and kept us save after the horrible day on September 11, 2001 For this month thread I will post the August photos from 2001 - 2004. The quote of the day will be President Bushs announcement on the Patients Bill Of Rights, which I find very appropriate being what will face us if the democrats health care bill passes and becomes law

Despised by the news media.
Not from the Washington “insider club” which everyone claims not to be but those like Obama, Gore...... are.
Bush didn't get the love an Obama receives. But I have a suspicious feeling that history will be kind to him, no matter how much some try to twist and distort his legacy. Many will change their views once this hopey changey feeling wears off and what defeat in Iraq really looks like gets burned into their consciousness; once they realize what it means to have a Euro style socialist in power reforming health care, nationalizing large parts of the economy, raising their taxes........
At some point, maybe after the next major attack on US soil, some will reconsider their view on Bush. Like Reagan, Bush will have a legacy to be proud of, Obama will end like Carter, or maybe even worse. If it weren't for Obama’s “Historic nature” (i.e. he's half black), if it weren't for the symbolism of what he represents, he would already be shredded in the media, but they will give him every free chance, they will aid and abet him at every turn, because they are in love of the idea of Obama.
Despite how savvy Obama is when speaking, how handsome and cool he looks..... the question is simply how long this illusion and love affair will last. Eventually the bubble will burst and form can no longer trump function. Eventually like all those selling snake oils, ponzi schemes, or other rackets, there will come a reckoning that this product sucks, that what we were sold does not marry up with the claims on the bottle and sales person. It's only a matter of time.

That look on VP Cheney’s face is very telling
We all miss him
The next 3 1/2 years will be a scary time. Someone less experienced, less qualified than I, is our “Commander of Chiefs,” as Obama called it on the campaign trail.
So do all of us
We all do
He is a sunshine compared to the dark cloud
We all do
Most of us feel that way too
I am convinced that when history is written, President Bush will come out shining.
Oh thank you for this thread.
So nice to see this man of Class.
This forum is the only place we see anything about him.
Sad.
Please add me to your ping list.
Thanks,
That is a great picture. I don’t remember seeing that one before.
Two guys who love their country. Now we have two guys who love themselves.
A truly Great Memorial to Our Great President and Leader, President George Walker Bush! Thank you so much for this beautiful memory lane of those beautiful days for Our AMERICA!, Kaslin, Thank you so very much:-)
Pardon me, but President Bush has always Shined Fantastically like the Brightest of Suns! Just the Naysayers tried to obfuscate, but as You point out, every day that passes, President Bush’s Star shines even brighter and more beautifully:-)
