It is now going on eight month since President Bush has left office. I thank God for the time he was our President and kept us save after the horrible day on September 11, 2001 For this month thread I will post the August photos from 2001 - 2004. The quote of the day will be President Bushs announcement on the Patients Bill Of Rights, which I find very appropriate being what will face us if the democrats health care bill passes and becomes law
..
Speaking of the Bush Alumni, here's another site:
Roosevelt Room
RooseveltRoom.net provides former senior Bush Administration officials a forum to continue their engagement in current policy debates.
Oh Deb, I am so very sorry about the accident & PTL you did not have more serious injury.
We never know when we will have our life changed (or ended) without notice..
hugs dear friend
I am so sorry that I am just now seeing this post and telling you how badly I feel that you were injured in that accident! Thank God it wasn’t worse! Wouldn’t you think that a Beemer would have better air bags!??? Sheesh!
Thanks for more great links for us to enjoy!
I am a member of the “Thank You President Bush” group on Facebook. There are about 75,000 of us now! LOL! I’ll bet you are there, too! :D
Take care of you and Hubby?...keep the ice packs coming! :D
THANK YOU so much for your kind, thoughtful words of support — they’re the best medicine I’ve had yet (although I’m still working on that morphine drip)!
Actually, I’m healing quickly and should be back to normal within a few weeks.
[FYI: To add insult to injury, the accident happened on our wedding anniversary — we were enroute to our anniversary dinner when it occurred. That said, the date also served to underscore how lucky we are (to have survived the accident AND to have found each other . . . kinda like George and Laura)!]

You'll just have to postpone your celebration until after you feel completely better.........and then you can really celebrate....ala George & Laura.. ;)
(You should know that my crazy kids just gave me a birthday present of a getaway with Mr OH to a place near where we honeymooned).
Crazy kids!
Glad to hear you're recovering. Take care of yourself, OK??
Thank goodness you are ok and are improving!
OUR president takes responsibility and is honest....Zero blames everyone BUT himself. Therein lies the difference!
I’ll definitely take care of myself . . . I plan to join you for lunch in September!
[Those kids of yours; they’re the best!]

We will not see his like again soon!!
Hubby’s got my ice packs ready; I’ll check back later.
[BTW: The THANK YOU PRESIDENT BUSH facebook page has over 97,000 members and growing! And you guessed it, I’m a member.]
I’m counting on that lunch in September, Deb!
Dems/Libs are victims, seem to always find someone else to blame, and are forever crying "poor me."
Conservatives can find the silver lining in a horrible event, learn from anything that confronts them, and become better for having gone through whatever they had to face.
God Bless you and your husband, DrDeb...you are an inspiration to us all.
Prayers for a speedy recovery for you both.
You are too kind; however, I do agree with your astute analysis of the differences between the conservative and liberal approaches to problems/problem-solving — the leftists’ ‘victim mentality’ has gotten us to where we are today in this country!
Would you freepmail me with September dates that work for you?!

Mary Matalin sets the record straight:
THE CHENEY CHRONICLES[Robert Costa]
Summertime in Wyoming is usually quite pleasant for the Cheney family. Last Thursday, the day before Lynne Cheneys 68th birthday party, the Washington Post soured spirits just a bit with this headline: Cheney Uncloaks His Frustration With Bush. The front-page story detailed, with the help of numerous unnamed associates, how former vice president Dick Cheneys upcoming book will supposedly open a second front against Cheneys White House partner of eight years, George W. Bush. Team Cheney was not amused. [IT WAS ALL A LIE OF COURSE!]

Oops, I forgot to include the following MUST READ commentary:
ANALYSIS: PRESS LARGELY IGNORED INCENDIARY RHETORIC AT BUSH PROTEST
By Bill Sammon
News outlets that are focusing on the incendiary rhetoric of conservatives outside President Obama’s town hall meeting Tuesday ignored the incendiary rhetoric — and even violence — of liberals outside an appearance by former President George W. Bush in 2002.

Thanks for the ping. I will check out the links after I am done with posting this evening’s IBD editorials

Sorry - I posted that in this thread by mistake.
Thanks, DrDeb! I saw a picture of GWB yesterday--the first I had seen in a couple of weeks---and it made me tear up! Goofy, I know! :) Sure do miss him.
I look forward to reading the Cheney article, too. Thank you, as always, for your great finds. I saw something about your car accident---I trust you are feeling better. So sorry that happened. Hope to chat with you soon. I miss everyone!
Good grief! I’m just catching up on this thread, and read about your accident! Hope you get all healed, real soon!
