Feel free to be.
Since I oppose a North American Union, Open Borders, And ubiquitous use of eminent domain - I am not.
Perry is conservative in the sense that Arlen Specter is conservative.

Rick Perry said Thursday that Kay Bailey's Hutchison's statements that he should leave the governor's race were "bizarre." Kay Bailey Hutchison, the I'm going to kill the border fence queen, and the Texas witch, makes a BIZARRE statement, it would be strange if it was the fist time, the woman's elevator does not go to the top floors.

Carl's Corner did open, and has been around for quite a while. I've never stopped there, and all I know are rumors about it.
What I'm pretty sure of is that Carl Cornelius was a friend of Willie Nelson, and Willie had a couple of his 4th of July picnics there. Cornelius incorporated the town because Hill County was dry and he wanted to be able to sell alcohol.
When I drove by there a few years ago, there was a "trucker's chapel" set up in the parking lot. I heard that Carl's son had been killed in a drunk driving accident (don't know whether the son or the other driver was drunk or anything else) and that the incident had broken Carl, and he decided to quit selling alcohol and let the place fall apart. Now, the son getting killed and everything is rumor; I have no idea whether it's true or not. I do know that Carl's Corner went from this outlaw advertising on the highway to having a Christian chapel in the parking lot, and that I never see it open anymore.
I know Willie started the Bio Willie thing, it eventually was sold at around twenty stations, but that most of them have quit selling it, and the billboard advertising it on I35 is gone. I have no idea if it's even in business anymore.

KBH will never get my vote for governor. She is not up to the job of running Texas. The last few years she has started to remind me of Texas’s version of Susan Collins or Kathleen Blanco...lol. She is weak and ineffective. Don’t believe me...just watch her on CSPAN anytime she is up on the floor or in committee. She doesn’t have the fight needed to protect this great state from the encroaching marxist interests emanating from DC.
Perry will get my vote and the votes of my family.

She came to our county for a meet and greet once. It was when there was so much outrage at Hillary’s health care and other things. When I spoke to her I said something complimentary to her compared to Hillary and she looked at me with a blank stare. It was odd and I have never had a good feeling about her since. I took it that she didn’t like me talking negatively about a sister or the first lady or something. Maybe she just didn’t like being there. I know the state party convention delegates have tried to come down on her for her abortion support so she may have lumped me in with that group (which is fine with me). Maybe she is just elite and aloof and in her own world.
I hope she does not run for governor because I don’t think it will do any good for conservative principles in Texas and certainly not the Republican party.

Yes, Heraldo is clueless. He’s the biggest problem I have with FoxNews. He’s a gutter-snipe.

KBH has been sipping too much kool aid. She's getting a Hussein complex trying to dictate her will on others. I told her office when she let open the doors for the law suits over the border that she'd never see another vote from this house and this latest proves I made the right decision.

Perry at least SEEMS to be talking the talk Gov. Goodhair always talks the talk closer to election time but immediately after goes all leftish again. From the looks of the field, it'll be the same ol' folks plus that idiot Lance. I guess Perry will get my vote again if only to stop Lance.

Hutchison announced Wednesday that she would leave her Senate seat this fall to concentrate on her challenge to Perry in the Republican primary for governor, which will be held in March. She criticized Perry for seeking a third full term, saying 15 years which Perry would serve if he won the term and completed it was too long for one person to be governor. - - - - - -
And this sets her up to be qualified ?? ... bizarre! :)

Who was the nutty nut that ran for Senator in Florida??? Katheryn Harris????
Do you even know who or what you are talking about? Harris was the one who stood up to the Gore-nazis in 2000 and made sure Flordia election laws were carried out; otherwise, you probably would have had President Gore.

You do know that Gov. Goodhair was coined by that liberal columnist woman who recently died. She was a die hard leftist democrat from Texas...Linda something....who tried to write in down home, hokey Texas vernacular. I would never use that term. Are you one of those people with a Texas Democrat bumper sticker on your car?
BTW, Bob Schiefer’s brother is running as a democrat for governor. They are digging up some fossils but at least he is no Kinky.

Willie's Place/Carl's Corner is operating and been going through a renovation process. It now has a 750 seat auditorum for concerts, restruant, store, and is the production center for Willie's Place, XM13. Willie bought the radio Channel/program a few years ago, moved the operation to Carl's Corner where it now broadcast from. I'm not sure if they have completed all the work they started or intended to do.
