CASH for CLUNKERS is just another scheme to offer “Reparations” just like health care and stimulus.
Who are the ones with most of the clunkers.....
minorities.
Just another way to give free money out to the underpriveledged. Now we are financing their cars!!
“These websites are all scams.”
We’ll actually the govt site is a scam on the taxpayers of our country too.
It looks to me like the website personnel misinterpreted the legalities in being logged on to the dealer cars system. In other words, they incorrectly wrote up the access policy.

The cashforclunkersfacts.com site is just another third party site offering info, and hoping to make some money doing it. The banned user agent is just server info related to automated bot denial.
Video: Glenn Beck Exposes Cars.gov Privacy Agreement That Taps Into User’s PC
lol That's still a half decent machine where I work!
There is one, and only one, official government website for this program:
There is no application for the program.
There is no disclaimer on the site.
Beck went to a non-official site and it is a scam.
Yeah, everybody thinks the $4,500 is such a good deal. They don’t realize it’s our money. Oh wait....I guess they do realize it’s our money (not theirs!).
Hope this doesn’t cause him to lose credibility.
Except the “minorities” aren’t turning them in and buying new cars. They can’t afford to. The upper and upper-middle class are turning in their old car, or their kid’s old car, or dad’s old car, and buying brand new BMWs and Lexus at a discount of $9,000.
This will turn around to bite the Democrats big time.
Everyday on major forums you can see mob mentality at work. To hold back the surge of illogical emotions is just about impossible.
From his video, he was on the cars.gov site, but in the dealer section. He was in the login area for submitting transactions to the government. The access policy is listed above the login area, and in my opinion it looks like the website people incorrectly wrote the policy on the website.
See you down river.
Ok, I just watched the video. It is the official website, but it is not
repeat
is NOT
an application for consumers to use. It is the application for the car dealers to use that has the disclaimer.
The disclaimer is faulty, but is there because the dealer will be connecting inside the government network. The disclaimer is there, so I will apologize for saying Beck got scammed, but it is not something that anyone but the car dealers will ever have to go through.
The link you gave me, to the RealClearPolitics website, does not show the URL.
It seems to be clarifying thanks to other posters— especially Kenth. It’s a dealer login thing, apparently.
A tip of the hat to you, Kenth. First among Freepers, you have provided a reproducible path to the wording.
Okay, it’s a dealer link, and we know what it says now.
Thanks.
Well at least you had the grace to apologize. Still, your condescension was nauseating.
What is nauseating is people who claim things and then don’t have the good grace to provide information for confirmation.
YOU are the embarrassment buzzhead, as I only gave you what was on the Glenn Beck Show....it appears you can’t understand what people are saying. An attack on me doesn’t help you, and you can take that advice to the bank.
I was trying to explain what I saw on tv, so don’t ever write me again, it was you who wrote me and asked the question. I’m not your problem....the gov’t is.
