This is a nonstarter. I’m sure it wasn’t his money. A million out of his giant campaign warchest is a drop in the water. Also, these guys retain lawyers for whatever. The BC issue is just what happened to come up.
Finally, the money was spent because he just doesn’t want to bother with the long form, and apparently he doesn’t have to. We don’t know why he didn’t just release the damn thing from the beginning. But given there’s absolutely no hard evidence that he was born in Kenya, it’s premature to assume it’s because he wasn’t born American. Maybe he just doesn’t like to unseal records.
Well, in my opinion the evidence that he was born in Hawaii is very unsatisfactory. We do, however, have eyewitness accounts of his birth in Kenya. That's not "hard evidence" either. But the only hard evidence that one can reasonably expect is the long-form birth certificate -- and that's the thing he refuses to show us.
One has to conclude that he is hiding something. The question is: what?

We don’t know anything about this guy and he is spending major bucks to be sure we don’t find out anything.
Doesn’t matter whose money it is. He has SOMETHING TO HIDE.
We deserve to know who he is, where he came from, and who helped him get where he is.
