I thought officer Crowley and prof Gates had a dialogue. :)
I remember working for an officer once who told me he would back me to the hilt if I was right.
I told him if I was right I wouldnt need backing.
This news conference showed me I was wrong. Right or wrong the leaders of the city will throw your butt under the bus if it suits them to do so. This thing sucked to the high heaven. I hope none of them sleep tonight as they dream of selling out their city and their police department.
Gates is reveling in his new notoriety and likely envisions himself another Rosa Parks..

that’s what I heard as well.....but we shall see.....City Manager went into a near-mumble about it, the Commissioner seemed crystal clear to me.....
If he is in fact sold out, and I don’t see that at all, at least not yet, then I can promise you SOMEONE will release a copy of the tape of Crowley speaking with headquarters.

Fox starting playing tape of Crowley at Mr Skippy’s house, then stopped it and went to commercial.

I heard some of Crowley's transmissions from the scene, and you could clearly hear another voice in the background while he was trying to talk on the radio. It's obviously Gates.
So are they going to make a law that says they CAN'T identify the persons RACE or color who is allegedly committing a crime?

This is what we were told last week Crowley did—that he “keyed his mic” early on. But I guess now we’ll find out.
Bet the rent, the radio transmission wont reveal anything. If they did, they would NOT play them.

Maybe he meant it in the sense of that of a soldier who supports his chain of command?
Didn’t Crowley say he went outside because Gates was yelling so loud, Crowley couldn’t transmit?
Rush mentioned last week that he heard that Crowley had locked his mike on during the verbal confrontation with Gates. I wonder if this is true?
