President Obama's strategy to pass sweeping health care legislation rested on stealth and speed. The idea was to fill the conversation for months on end with vague talk about expanding coverage, "bending the cost-curve," improving quality, and rooting out waste, without showing the public how the plan would actually work or what it would cost. The centerpiece of Obamacare is a new premium subsidy program. In the House bill, families with incomes up to four times the poverty level would get a fixed cap on their insurance premiums, tied to their incomes. For instance, a family whose income is twice the poverty level would pay no more than 5 percent of its total income for insurance. But providing that guarantee to all such households in America would cost far more than even the Democrats are willing to propose. The plan therefore would make subsidies available only to households getting insurance through the new "exchanges," insurance pools set up in each state as a parallel system to job-based coverage. And full-time workers in all but the smallest firms would be barred from entering the exchanges, at least for a time, so they wouldn't have access to the new entitlement.

The democrat/socialists will start saying, "We have heard from our constituents on Health Care Reform. That is dead. We have pared way back from that. We now only want to reform "Health Insurance".

This Democrat Crap cannot be allowed to pass.
What is this "cost curve" I keep hearing about? Does it bend up or down? Is it convex or concave? What are the variables? If cost is the x axis, what is the y axis? Does the curve go on infinitely or does it have defined endpoints? What is the "cost curve's" relationship to supply and demand? Does anyone know where I can see this curve on a graph with a legend?
Seriously, I studied this stuff in college and I don't know what the hell they're talking about. How do they expect the average citizen to understand it?
And why is it no reporter feels compelled to explain the term "cost curve"? Do they just spout the words they're handed without filtering any of it.

We've had some victories in getting the House and Senate to back down from passing this thing before Aug.
However, the enemies of the Republic are just licking their chops waiting for the next opening to shove it thru when the public tires of the debate.

Now the story must be pushed, day after day, with details of this assault on our liberty, pounded by republicans everywhere.

You forgot to add the third dimension. Maybe in terms of this ‘cost curve’ there is a 4th or 5th, too, that only a privileged few remnants of the Philadelphia Experiment can explain. ;>

I don’t understand how Democrats are not waking up to this. ..Do they really want to kill off America???...they stand to lose their seats when America finally has had enough.
Once every 5-yrs, or when you get really sick. And it will be by a ‘death council member’.
Tell me someone, why is the AARP so silent on this obammacare? What is in it for them? Do they think they are immune to all the draconian measures in this bill?
