In promoting his health-care agenda, President Obama has repeatedly reassured Americans that they can keep their existing health plans -- and that the benefits and access they prize will be enhanced through reform.
A close reading of the two main bills, one backed by Democrats in the House and the other issued by Sen. Edward Kennedy's Health committee, contradict the President's assurances. Chrissy has health care coverage with a family plan but the IRS makes them pay taxes on the imputed income to Kyle on the benefit, which, while not being fair is still manageable as they commute between Fresno and Pasadena -- just a short hop...
I’m down to eating green baloney outside under the dying embers of the local smokehouse and sopping up the sticky stuff that runs down the sides before I crawl all the way in to catch a few winks before the asshole comes out and shakes the damned thing around midnight.
