A relative of mine asked me how in good conscience I could be a guest on the Michael Savage show. Michael Savage?!WTF!?, that "god-awful, pathetic hate-mongering" nut case on radio? We'll, first off, I was asked to be a guest and accepted, just like I was offered an interview, via phone, regarding Savage and his much publicized situation with the UK and its "ban-list", which still includes Savage's name despite reports that he's off it. He's not and told me so, among other things.Let me first state very overtly and openly that, yes, as I've said in this corner, on TV, and in other arenas, Michael Savage makes me laugh out loud, and on occasion, makes me squirm, quite a bit in fact, but half the time I find myself agreeing with him more often lately than in the past. If that makes me a mutant, a piece of garbage, whatever, then I guess I'm in that department.Savage is a card, I'll give you that, and while I once thought that much of what he says is an "act", (Savage was heated over my past characterization) I do believe that if you, Bay Area people, liberal, conservative, moderate, progressive, French-onion, Sweedish-meatball, take your pick) actually LISTEN to the guy, maybe you'd at least, A. know where I'm coming from, B. laugh hysterically either intentionally or unintentionally, and C. learn a thing or two.Because, like him or not, and millions of people listen to his show, (he's the third most-listened-to talk-show host on radio) Savage's rants, raves, stream-of-conscienceness moments are quite striking and entertaining. Who cares, frankly, whether one agrees or disagrees? I can't stand Hannity and Limbaugh combined and both of them are extraordinarily BORING and PREDICTABLE.But I'd at least give a listen to them if either were worth...

Savage does not seem to be predictable, can turn on a dime, and go “from zero to sixty” in a millisecond. I think it’s a function of I.Q. which, coupled with a greater long-wave historical perspective than most other people, yields a bombastic attitude.
When you are smarter than most people, and better educated than most people, and you’re old and rich and impatient enough to cut the B.S. (e.g. “You’re a great American...” “No, YOU’RE a Great American...), weird things happen. And that makes people antsy. Truth makes people antsy.
This is my sentiment, too. Savage has no equal when it comes to breadth and scope of knowledge about a range of subjects, including politics. He is entertaining, informative, and thought-provoking. Limbaugh would have to untie the half of his brain that is tied up to compete with Savage.
Its a conspiracy!!!!!!! The weiner KNOWS~~~~they are all out to get him because he knows! LMAO...he's a nut who knows how to stir other nuts up.
Listening to him is like listening to a three hour mental meltdown every single day. I don't know if he's really as depressed as he sounds on the radio, but I keep expecting him to cap himself at the end of a show.
Yep, got that right as the say goes, even a broken clock is at least right once or twice a day.
The other screamer besides Mark Levin.:)
shortly after he started his national show I had to adopt the position that as long as the good that he does outweighs the disagreeable I'll keep listening.
Before that I never missed any part of his show for years when his only station was KSFO.
He's explained his attitude toward other conservative hosts as part of the national medium's fierce competition and, in some respects, an attempt to goad them into being more conservative and less Republican. Personally I reject both explanations but for me it's still that good - bad balance.
For me the closest he's come to tipping the scale was the incipient attacks on Gov. Palin.
The story is not quite comparable to today's deliberate efforts to sabotage our national defense by 1960s Marxist-Alinsky hippie street rabble and their ideological issue (children)-cum-Rat Party (formerly the traditional, patriotic Democratic Party) media employees.
If you look into that era take a look at the Great Sedition Trial of 1944. See what the left did to conservative critics of communists. Criticizing Joe Stalin was sedition -- and people think charisma-challenged Joe McCarthy was bad!
Mikey is pretty good once you get past his inferiority complex.
Savage bump !
Love him or hate him,,, he is what he is.
All that psychological nudity makes me uncomfortable.
I can’t find him on the radio anymore, what did they do push him to midnight to eight or something?
3-7pm here is NorCal, but dont know about elswhere....
