Police said Katrina Sanabria, 24, was teaching the unnamed girl how to back out of a parking space......
Poor girl she didn’t have a name. Must be from a lower socio-economic family.

12 is too young to start to learn to drive. There are good reasons we wait till 15-1/2 to start driver training. This has been studied to death and it's been confirmed that on average 15-16 is the ideal age to learn to drive. This of course is an average.

Why was a 12 year old in need of driving lessons to begin with?

I know different people have different standards -- and kids growing up on farms tend to drive tractors -- but in most locales, teaching a 12-year-old to drive a car is basically teaching a kid how to break the law. I don't support it.
And I've met parents who teach 12-year-olds how to drive, and who confidently declare that their little darling would never take the car anywhere without permission. Yeah. Riiiiiiiight.

According to state law, juveniles have to be 16 years old before they learn to drive.

Why was the woman out of the car trying to teach? Why not teach her while in the car. It is much easier.

How stupid is this...First put a 12 year girl behind the wheel, and then stand behind the opened driver door when she is back up with the door open?
on the stooopid scale of 1-10, this is a 10.

The driver’s Ed teachers at my school were football coaches who didn’t take carp outta no one. The had their own little cone island where they sat in lifeguard chairs with bull horns yelling their directives. One kid accidentally swerved in and took out a few cones, they both jumped off their chairs, pulled him out and threw him against the car in drill Sargent fashion while chewing him a new one.

And she was teaching a 12 year old to drive ——WHY?
To: Red in Blue PA
The only thing twelve year olds should learn to drive is (maybe) very smalll, very slow tractors...
