I'm scheduled to be on MSNBC this afternoon to talk about the controversy over the pulled Free Republic thread about Malia Obama.
The segment should air live around 3:30 p.m. EDT barring any breaking news, etc.
David Shuster and Tamran Hall will be co-hosting the segment.
I'm heading out the door in a few minutes.

That actually was unbelievable. The things said against Sarah Palin’s family are a ZILLION times more and worse than a few comments (and do we even know they weren’t posted by trolls?) posted on that thread . . . or any thread I’ve seen on FR in a few years of reading.

The “apology” question is a loose/loose quite frankly.
By not apologizing on behalf of FR, to those who don’t know how discussion boards operate, and how incredibly easy it is for some troll to come in and post any kind of garbage and then run right off, it doesn’t come across well.
Of course, if he had apolgized, then those who DO know how discussion boards operate would believe that JR had something to apologize for.
A no win situation. But Kristinn answered the best one I thought.

Shuster sucks! I sometimes yell at Fox News when it is on but I would be screaming non stop at msnbc!

We can never have “fairness” on the mSM, but Kristinn defended Freep, and got FREE MSMS AIRTIME FOR FREEPER!
Its what I said earlier..even in worst case sceanrio to have an articulate, polite strong spokesman on there and get the Freep site named will bring independents to the site, just to see what its about!
