I'm scheduled to be on MSNBC this afternoon to talk about the controversy over the pulled Free Republic thread about Malia Obama.

The segment should air live around 3:30 p.m. EDT barring any breaking news, etc.

David Shuster and Tamran Hall will be co-hosting the segment.

I'm heading out the door in a few minutes.

I don't think Shuster was successful, in my best objective opinion. The left will not see it that way. They will see it as a resounding victory.

That was it...very short...Would have been even shorter if Kristinn hadn’t kept speaking through their comments.....Made the point that JR wasn’t going to apologize for the comments of one person that was banned/ pulled.

In reply to a question he replied that we DO have a self monitoring system that usually works well....Nothing is perfect.

I just saw this and when the trashing of Palin’s kids were brought up the idiot news guy from MSNBC then asked for an apology. He made it sound like the comments were republished and that the “N” word was used.

Right, and he also tried to say that the comments about the first daughter were much worse than anything said about Palin's kids.

I guess to him, calling a kid with Downs Syndrome a "retard" is perfectly fine, or making a "joke" about selling her kids on eBay is hilarious.

Racism is of course wrong, but when he says abusing a child with Downs syndrome isn't just as bad clearly shows an agenda on his part. Anyone with half a brain knows, BOTH are wrong. Anyone of course, without an agenda to promote.

I was impressed with the way you drew the Palin comparison and he had no response other than to pretend it doesn’t exist, which was spineless and intellectually dishonest. The usual David Shyster MO.

In addition, he dodged responsibility for offensive material on their lefty site by pinning those comments on a crazy few while refusing to allow the same explanation for the Malia Obama thread that was pulled.

Schuster could not understand that an article can be posted numerous times, and that the offending posts will not be reposted. Ten people and post an article, and each article may contain different offending posts, and none of them will be put back up, but then someone comes along and posts an article an ELEVENTH time.

Also, Schuster needs a professional to advise him on his facial expressions on the air. His expressions show an individual who is contemptuous of the people he is talking with or the subject he is discussing.

This is what I don’t understand. If the thread was pulled and not reinstated, why are they making the claim? Does this site have data available to track the exact sequence of circumstances to disprove the oppositions false allegations?

The first time I have ever tuned in to MSNBC. Surprisingly they have some pretty female talking heads - the black gal with short hair cut and the redhead - can't recall her name.

LOL - This Shuster though is as faggy as they come. When Kristinn began speaking about the Palins the former was batting his eyes rapidly, as in a parodied impression of Bette Davis.

Yes, it was an attempt to slam FR, but I think it was well worth it.

Had I no prior knowledge of FR and judged FR solely based on this short appearance by Kristinn holding his own against MSNBC I would quickly say that FR was composed of people with a good dose of common sense and an ability to hold their own against Leftist garbage.
