Good grief, I mean Ghana is practically next door to Obama’s birthplace (Kenya). Have they no regard for a fellow African?

I might be able to give some insight on this. Ghanans are West Africans. West Africans feel a kinship with African-Americans because most African-Americans can claim some sort of western ancestry. Barry’s Kenyan, an east African. He really doesn’t look like a West African. They really have nothing in common with Barry other than they were both born in Africa. They probably see Barry as a fraud passing himself off as what he isn’t; an African-American with West African ancestry.

Also, Kenya and Ghana are on the opposite sides of Africa, which makes this visit even more of a farce. The people of Ghana know a publicity stunt when they see one.

In their eyes, he is American and half-white, and it's America's fault for the global economic crisis (in their view).

The answer is that in Africa it can safely be said they've seen black politicians and they know what they're generally about.

No one would rationally expect a big crowd for Obama anywhere in Africa.
