Have they no regard for a fellow African?

In their eyes, he is American and half-white, and it's America's fault for the global economic crisis (in their view).

It doesn’t matter what his ancestry was, he’s an American culturally.
My mom went to Africa years ago (Upper Volta, now Burkina Faso). She had no problem telling the Africans from the African-Americans, based on body language alone. Americans walk and carry themselves in a certain way. I’m sure the Africans pick up on that.
I think we will be better off in race relations when African-Americans (and all the other hyphens) realize that the people in the world they most resemble and have common cause with, are other Americans.
