If the grassroots TEA Party movement could nominate a candidate for president, who would it be?

The TEA Party movement is all about smaller, more representative government. We are fed up with our unresponsive, ever expanding and totally out of control BIG government.
We feel our elected officials and politicians of both political parties have failed us and no longer represent our interests or the country we love, and no longer deserve our support. The Democrat party is totally lost to Marxism and the Republican party is not far behind. I've heard thousands of people saying it's time to kick them ALL out!
Rebellion is brewing!
If we the members of the grassroots TEA Party movement could nominate a candidate for president, who would it be?
Well, obviously, it should not be a leading member of either of the two major political parties that have failed us so miserably that we're now on the brink of rebellion. No beltway insiders please. No next in line it's my turn candidates. No try again candidates. No media's choice candidates. No slick-haired, smooth talking, two-faced political hacks. Big government, big spending northeastern moderates need not apply.
Time for a fresh face. Time for someone who walks the walk as well as talks the talk. Someone who actually believes in America, believes in small government, believes in freedom, believes the people can and will fend for themselves and do not need or want a government nanny.
Time for an outsider. Time for an outcast. Someone who is not contaminated with Washington politics as usual. Someone with a record of standing up for individual rights, smaller government, smaller taxes, traditional American values, national pride, national defense. Someone who speaks from the heart and connects with we the people by speaking the truth and by truly representing our individual interests and individual freedoms.
Enough with Marxism! We need someone who will say No to more BIG government programs! Say NO to socialist BIG government health care systems! NO to BIG government takeover of private enterprise! NO to crippling BIG government energy boondoggles! NO to global warming hoaxes! NO to BIG spending, BIG taxes, BIG government!
But YES to American individuality, American freedom, American resourcefulness, American independence and the American can do spirit! And YES to American pride, patriotism and national defense!
And YES to good old American know how!
It's good to be American! It's good to be FREE!
You betcha!
Go Sarah!
Drill baby drill!

Absolutely, a steve-bARF ALERT!!! Ping list would be fantastic.
That way, any time my Cherrios get dry, I know he’ll pee in them.
Any time I am having a great day, I can review some of his downtrodden tomes to bring me back down to earth.
Even in those times when I think life can’t get any worse, a post from Steve-b will be there to remind me “Yes It Can”

Absolutely right. Sarah Palin is the one and only candidate to bring us back to our limited government roots. Go Sarah! I am not a wealthy person but will do everything I can to help her get elected, should she run. It’s up to us ordinary barbarians to convince her (to run).

Perot had victory in the bag when he ducked out. Far too many people wouldn't support him afterwards because of it. I don't think Sarah Palin is a quitter. I get the impression that she's not the type to collapse and have a good cry because somebody picked on her. In fact, what should have been inconsequential news about her recent decision the other week, has thrown the left into terror, and the right into doubt. This is because she's uncommon. Nobody expects common things from somebody like her. When is the last time you saw a DETERMINED WOMAN quit at something!? I know three women a lot like this in my own family. Most of us men would much rather deal with aggressive males than females...there's just something about them... something dangerous.
I'd vote for ANY woman who simply manages the finances of her own family WELL, and I'd do it in a heartbeat! Politicians lie through their teeth and tell us that it's complicated to perform these functions nationally, and requires a master's degree to understand! But this isn't so! They've morphed our nation into something which has become unnecessarily complex! They've artificially created the perfect conditions to support the LIE that we actually NEED people like them. But this simply isn't true! The Constitution is NOT complicated. It doesn't require translation. At worst nowadays, you have to bear in mind the conditions at the time (which are well documented!) to have a correct perspective. Fortunately for us, we've got the illustrious public school system there making sure that our kids get a good solid education in Constitutional Fundamentals...eh!? (choke!...gag!...barf!...sarcasm OFF!) Actually, I get the impression that the government school system is concerned more that condom handouts go smoothly and that our daughters can get abortions on demand without us ever knowing anything about the murder of our grandchild.
But I can imagine our politicians truly FEAR the result of people moved to action to simply replace them with simpler folk...who will in turn simplify the entire system.

I agree. I am seeing many Republican names on this thread. I think it is time to throw all republicans and democrats out! Even those elected officials who seem good, have been lackluster and ineffective against the democrats. Sarah has even allowed the democrats to drive her from her office!
Rush Limbaugh; Dr.Michael Weiner (Savage); Fr. Frank Pavlone; Jim Robinson; these are people who have kept up the good fight against the evil powers in this country. We need these guys, and more like them, to take their place in our political leadership.
But, I just have to tell everyone, it isn't really the politicians that have so much power. It is actually the “staffers” who wield the most power in Washington DC. It is the staffers who do all the leg work, who do all the talking and research for the elected official. They are even sent overseas on "fact finding" missions, where they are the ones who actually meet foreign leaders. They daily influence their bosses, and spin, censor and edit all that their boss sees and hears. This is the reason that it seems that both parties are equal...no matter who gets elected, they hire the same staffers—who are mostly liberal in their views! We need to infiltrate that area, to have any success.

Sheriff Arpaio?! Oh yeah! Can you imagine the "Illegal Scene" here in the U.S. with him over DHS? :-) He'd lock them all in work camps in the desert, while awaiting deportation, and make them wear pink bunny slippers and pink uniforms! BWAH! :-) They'd be crying to the International Court. ...which we would of course promptly advise to GO TO HELL! :-)

Two suggestions on that topic go along with stramlining the government: Limit number of staff to three in Washington plus one at home. Also for “diversity” and non-partianship, every Congress critter MUST have a staffer of the opposing side.
