Blue sclera green pee -— you may scare the neighbors

Naw, it'll just go with all the rainbows and unicorns crapping skittles on their lawn since The One assumed power.

Methylene blue is used in endoscopic polypectomy as an adjunct to saline or epinephrine, and is used for injection into the submucosa around the polyp to be removed. This allows the submucosal tissue plane to be identified after the polyp is removed, which is useful in determining if more tissue needs to be removed, or if there has been a high risk for perforation. Methylene blue is also used as a dye in chromoendoscopy, and is sprayed onto the mucosa of the gastrointestinal tract in order to identify dysplasia, or pre-cancerous lesions. Intravenously injected methylene blue is readily released into the urine and thus can be used to test the urinary tract for leaks or fistulas.

In surgeries such as sentinel lymph node dissections, methylene blue can be used to visually trace the lymphatic drainage of pertinent tissues. Similarly, methylene blue is added to bone cement in orthopedic operations to provide easy discrimination between native bone and cement. Additionally, methylene blue accelerates the hardening of bone cement, increasing the speed at which bone cement can be effectively applied.

Guess your “source “ is wrong. Xray is NOT the only manner in which one uses a dye in medicine. In fact dyes are mostly not used for x-rays since those are looking at hard ( or hardening) masses

an imbiber will find themselves pissing Kelly green the next morning

Not advisable when you're getting ready to take a piss test as part of your clearance in the Air Force.

This was mid-1980s. Israeli equivalent of peace corp do-goodery in the hinderlands.

They used it with quinine and probably 3 other things; I known one was some sort of sulfa, as I could also smell sulfer when I sweated.

Of course, they weren’t sure what I had and basically just poisoned me just shy of dying to make sure they killed whatever slithered inside me.

Equatorial medicine at its best.

“Actual you pee green ( dye is blue your urine should be straw to yellow -— yellow and blue together make GREEN)”

I pissed blue, but I was also on IV liquids.

Perhaps it was blue-green.

You also sweat blue.

Some of that happened in Canada when it was showed that Capscacin was shown to reduce swelling in islet cells in the pancreas, curing diabetes type one in rats.

That news, and both researchers, left the face of the earth somehow.

The worst thing that could happen to the health care economy is a cure for Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. Cash cow.

Until recently, those islet cells were thought to be dead. It’s not turning out to be the case.

I smell an entrepreneurial opportunity for bars around St. Patty’s Day! Little of this in the beer and you pee green too!

Go to the ScienceDaily website and you will find a couple of studies available.

I work at a facility for Seniors with Alzheimer’s, and I try to keep informed about the studies and inform our resident’s families.

These latest studies really seem to be taking a stronger look at destroying the tangles which destroy the brain. Most of the commonly used methods only treat the symptoms.

Is this the same stuff I use in my fish tank to cure ick?

No. That is malachite green. Methylene blue milk was one of the media that I used in my microbiology labs as a means of detecting certain metabolites from bacteria.

Unless they mix it with extract of infant, I don’t think that Michael J. Fox will be interested.

Holy Moley, you are probably right. Sad how people have used him in this way.

It’s a guess, not a conclusion.

Several people have reported good effects from smaller doses.
I guess we’ll find out at some point.
