OK, now that they are drunk with power, they are now trying to suspend reality. Either they truly believe that their massive deficit spending from a massive debt position will work (contrary to what even deficit/surplus economist John Maynard Keynes suggested on that side of the coin) - or they are just assaulting us with another 'rules for radicals' on day whatever this is of zero's rule.

I think what they mean is that they didn’t have enough time to get all of their earmarks in the bill ...

Stimulus I was meant to be spent in 2010 winning the mid-term elections.
Stimulus II will be designed to be spent in 2012 winning the next major election.

Is anyone else detecting a pattern here?

Everytime they have a major bad bill up for a vote....they start distracting folks to ‘look over here’ and try to change the subject to another controversial bill in the ‘future’. It is always the same story line. ‘The Dems may not all be in lockstep’...blahblahblah, yet they always vote in lockstep at the end of the day(give or take one or two votes..which they easily make up for with rinos).

Stay focused people..call your senators about the capntax bill and the healthcare bill.. and yes, go ahead and mention you don’t want a second pork bill either..but stay focussed. This is to distract folks.

An outrage an hour, designed to wear us all down.

KEEP CALLING AND WRITING ON ALL OF IT!!

Actually this makes sense. If it was such a good idea in the first place, why in the heck not do it again and again. Every quarter? How about every week. We can stimulate everybody into a billionaire. Of course a loaf of bread would end up costing two billion.

The thing is it was a very bad idea first time around. You cannot spend your way to prosperity. The government needs to spend way less. And cut back on regulation which is always restraint or holding back.

Of course. The first “stimulus” failed, and so they want another, which will fail too.
Whenever liberal solutions to social problems fail, as they always do, liberals always demand a stronger version of the one that failed, which will fail too in its turn.

Sure, it was too small! They were trying to take down the nation and in that respect, it was too small and didn’t work.

Now they have to try again and laugh at how stupid the “smart Americans” are.

The first stimuless was a payoff for their supporters at the expense of the taxpayer. The second stimuless is to keep from killing the golden taxpayer. As is usually with Fascicrats, it will be too late and misdirected. The best stimulus would be to cancel the first stimuless.

Let's follow the demhole "logic"....

borrowing money you don't have to spend it on things you don't need will stimulate the economy....

piling up mountains of debt doesn't matter

so....why doesn't the government borrow $300,000,000,000,000 and send everyone checks for $1 million?

Typical Socialist/Leftist/Democrat/Liberal/Commie-Pinko’s creating control through fear by regulating the sources of their theft to give to those undeserving of that which they have stolen from the fearful regulated sources for votes, for power, for want of adulation, and fawning.

The sign on Capitol Hill needs to read: “CAUTION: Despots at work”.

No “stimulus” bill would have been big enough - because the “stimulus” is being applied in the wrong way. If the Federal Government, instead of borrowing into the foreseeable future and beyond, has simply said, “We are suspending the collection of ALL income taxes, both individual and corporate, for the next three years”, it would have cost them much less, and the economic growth resulting from that suspension would have more than paid for the total rebate within a decade.

One way out of debt is to GROW your way out of it. Raise your income to such level that there is more income than outgo.

Or reduce the amount of the outgo. That is where the real sacrifice comes.

They are fried! The only way out of this mess successfully is to:

a) Get the lines of credit open for businesses to expand and hire.

b) Cut personal income taxes.

c) Cut corporate taxes.

They can do none of those because those are Conservative ideals. By December Obama’s approval should be in the mid to low 40s... if that.

[[Dems split on 2nd Stimulus Bill - 1st Stimulus “a bit too small” (seriously??)]]

What comes after a trillion? A quadrillion? Will a Quadrillion become he new ‘trillion’?

I’m goign to my bank today and take out a loan for a couple of trillion- when htye ask how I’ll pay it back, I’ll simply tell them I’ll take out another loan for a quadrillion, and that I can only ‘amke money by spending money wildly’- I wonder what sort of reply I’ll get?

never underestimate the power of liberals to create a problem where none exist

Health care was NOT a problem- in a country to over 200 million, only 40 million were ininsured- of htose 40 million, 32 million were imigrants, of htose imigrants, 12+ million were ILLEGAL imigrants! so in the end, only 28 million LEGAL Americans were uninsured- but instead of simply alloting money to cover those people- we’re goign to ‘fix health care’ by making it a miserable institution for 172 million Americans who were previously very satisified with hteir current health care!
