The Jackson family has decided to bring Michael's body to the memorial service being held today at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, putting off the announced plans for a private internment at Forest Lawn cemetery from 8 a.m. PDT to after the service.
The 10 a.m. PDT service is being broadcast on all the major American broadcast and cable news networks, as well as in theaters across the country, the Times Square jumbotron in New York City and on TV screens around the world.
From Entertainment Weekly, performers and friends expected at the service include: Kobe Bryant, Mariah Carey, Berry Gordy, Jennifer Hudson, Shaheen Jafargholi, Magic Johnson, Martin Luther King III, Bernice A. King, John Mayer, Lionel Richie, Smokey Robinson, Rev. Al Sharpton, Brooke Shields, Usher and Stevie Wonder.
Michael's Jackson's close friend Elizabeth Taylor declined an invitation to speak at the service, writing in part on Twitter: "I cannot be part of the public whoopla."
In a strange but fitting twist of fate, the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey circus elephant parade through the streets of Los Angeles is set to take place this morning with the elephants arriving at the Staples Center just hours before the service for the circus' scheduled run at the arena.

Out of all those Kids, 2 said they were molested. One MJ paid off and 1 he was never convicted of...
Was he strange, quirky and in-appropriate how he viewed children?-YES
But that does not make him a JOHN GACY!
MJ was a tortured soul, very immature, and it is my hope that he accepted Jesus Christ into his heart and finally has PEACE and REST in heaven, where all the SINS we deal with daily on earth cease to exist....

The 12 jurors delivered a unanimous verdict at California's Santa Maria courthouse ending a 14 week trial - but two have admitted they believe Jackson probably did molest young boys at his Neverland ranch.
RAYMOND HULTMAN says, "I feel that Michael Jackson probably has molested boys.
"I cannot believe that this man could sleep in the same bedroom for 365 straight days and not do something more than just watch television and eat popcorn. I mean, that doesn't make sense to me.
"But that doesn't make him guilty of the charges that were presented in this case - that's where we had to make our decision. That's not to say he's an innocent man. He's just not guilty of the crimes he's been charged with."
Another juror says, "We had a closet full of evidence that always came back to the same thing - it was not enough."
Another adds, "We expected some better evidence, something more convincing, but it just wasn't there. You hope that you will find a smoking gun, something you can grab on to one way or another and we had difficulty in finding that."
Jury foreman PAUL RODRIGUEZ says, "The allegations of past abuse were considered credible to some extent. There are not too many grown up men we know who would sleep with children but we had to base it on the evidence presented to us. There were a lot of things lacking."
The jurors claimed the prosecution case was damaged by JANET ARVIZO, the mother of Jackson's accuser GAVIN, who they claim antagonised the jury with theatrical, over-the-top testimony. They also suspected her motives.
Rodriguez adds, "As a parent you spend every moment of your day protective of what happens to your children. What kind of mother in her right mind would allow that to happen, to freely volunteer your child to sleep with anyone, not just Michael Jackson, but anyone?" 14/06/2005 17:10

Jackson kept little boys in his BED for days, for god sake, and you foolishly want to believe it was so innocent, so loving...poor Michael, so misunderstood.
As for accepting Jesus in his heart?! Not a chance. THIS is the same man who converted from Christianity to become a Muslim.
