The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows that 33% of the nation's voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-six percent (36%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of 3. Those figures reflect the highest level of strong disapproval measured to date and the lowest level recorded for the overall
If libs can get their wet dream in Barack Fitzgerald Osama why can’t we get somebody with an R next to their name who is a fiscal, social and national defense conservative who makes us all happy?
We probably could if the national media supported him as much as they did Obama. Somehow I don't think that is in the cards.
Most people still form their opinions from what they are fed by the MSM which, btw, is not a bunch of dinosaurs and is not dying.
“I could nearly laugh at their stupidity.”
They aren’t stupid. They know exactly what they’re doing.
IMHO
Gerald Ford was pro-choice and appointed John Paul Stevens to the Supreme Court.
Did I miss Ford’s proposed tax cuts?
Did I miss Ford’s bold foreign policy moves against our enemies?
Conversely...
W is pro-life and appointed John Roberts and Sam Alito to the Supreme Court.
W cut taxes as massively as the Dems and anti-tax cut RINOS in Congress would agree to let him.
W invaded Afghanistan and Iraq.
W wasn’t a Reagan.
He was much closer to a Reagan than to Gerald Ford who was in many ways a Reagan opposite.
Now in terms of Reagan himself, even Reagan at times acted contrary to Reagan.
Reagan wanted to pick Richard Schweiker, RINO Senator from Pennsylvania - forgotten that?- for a VP once.
Reagan did pick George HW Bush for VP.
Reagan wanted to pick GERALD FORD himself for VP before picking GHWB.
Reagan put Sandra Day O on the Supreme Court because he wanted to put the first woman on there.
What are your financial or other personal connections to George W. Bush, may I ask?
You apparently have never seen the tiny house in Midland where George W. Bush grew up. You apparently didn't watch him for eight years and see how he related to and treated regular people with respect because he IS one.
Coming from a wealthy family doesn't make one an "elitist" just like being raised in a poor family doesn't keep you from being one. It's how you choose to live your life and the attitudes you have toward others that make the difference.
Barack Obama is an elitist. George W. Bush isn't even close.
(btw, he didn't "take it to" anyone because he chooses to be Christian first and politician second).
What she has posted is historically accurate.
I don't know that it's fair to say that Reagan wanted to nominate Schweiker; I think he felt that he had to nominate someone like him in order to have a shot at the nomination in '76. The GOP was fairly liberal in those days, and was largely controlled by the Northeast types.
It is, shall we say (appropriately enough)somewhat of a Mexican standoff with the Bushbots? Frankly, I have no more time for you or your ilk over the Bush Legacy. I don't anticipate a direct answer from that Freeper either on their connections to George W. and lack of independent thinking about him and how he placed us in such a horrid predicament nationally and internationally, (to have been then inherited by an even worse sap in the West Wing), so whatever, my friend. Have a nice day. Enjoy.
But that's not going to keep me from pointing out your ridiculous ad hominem attack in response to factual information. You may think you're cool by responding the way you did, but you just look like the Obama freaks on YouTube.
One last point. Those of us who support President Bush and never joined in the groupthink hatred of him here or from the left are the most independent thinkers on the face of the earth.
Just because you don't understand our respect for leadership and integrity, doesn't mean there isn't just cause for having it.
Awesome! Thanks!
And with that, you get the last word. As I said, no need to continue. Cheers,
If the GOP had half a brain they would. GRANTED that Holder I am sure has impeded all FBI investigations.
I thank God every single day for giving us George W. Bush to lead us through the most dangerous days in my lifetime. I thank God for his integrity, for his leadership, for his strength of character, for his willingness to ignore polls to do what he believed to be best. I thank God for President Bush's love of country, for his unwavering support of the military (and their reciprocating love for him).
We were blessed for eight years, and I am proud to be among those who did not waver, but who chose to fight the groupthink that pressured us to abandon our support for him. I am proud to be among the strong and not among the weak. I am proud to be among the discerning, and not part of the crowd. I am proud to be, as I always have been, an independent thinker, who is conservative to the core.
Cheers to you too AmericaninTokyo. Thanks for giving me the last word. I've enjoyed it. ;*)
like I said, you get the last word
I know. And I used it well.
Calling someone an TOTUS supporter is Fightin words!!! =)
“if ever find out that the claim of being black was just a big lie, and that he was set up, funded and promoted by a bunch of whites and arabs, I dont think it will set well with them and they may have a pretty ugly reaction to it.”
+++++++++++++
Good theory. But fortunately or not - and I’m an “Italian American”, with lots of black friends both here and in Africa - I know hundreds of people in East Africa due to work I’ve done with Kenyans and Ugandans - a lot of black Americans trust any person of color over any person they deem “white.” (by the way, if you’re among the darker skinned southern Europeans - Italy and Spain - are you white or a person of color? Inquiring minds NEED to know...:)) It is in my view, a backlash of history - but certainly a real effect.
There are many, many thoughtful conservative black Americans - certainly Thomas Sowell comes to mind. But they are not (yet) influential in the broader community of “African Americans.”
Right. Not too confident about justice right now...they’re still raking people like Karl Rove over the coals...how likely is it that they’ll investigage COI (ACORN)? Well, we’ve got to keep the issue discussed, and in the public eye and all over conservative circles...just like the radical left used Iraq, etc. If we keep their corruption in the news (generally speaking and setting aside the enemedia), we will erode their credibility.
