I think there are many good qualities with Governor Palin. I simply haven’t seen proof that she has the ability to be a viable President.
Does she have a role? Yea I think she does, I hope she finds it and plays it well.
From what I have seen of her thus far, do I want her on another national ticket? No
I love the people who insult those who have an opinion, and then cry when the favor is returned. It’s like the nimrods who come on the Rush thread to flame. I expect a lot of that this week.
Me either - I think she is going to fill the vaccuum and lead on the grassroots level - she knows she draws thousands to her rallies/events and conservatives love her -she will lead a conservative movement a la the Reagan movement - whether she even runs for POTUS is still up in the air. If she starts moving and shaking down in the lower 48 to make an impact in 2010 which is the most significant thing coming up - I will certainly join in - I was never as involved as I am now. I got involved on 9/3/2008.
Isn’t that the problem though, the endless measuring up and comparisons? It is like a sports team that sees a cherished player retire, and the fans boo every misstep of his successors if they don’t do something the first guy woulda done easily.
Ted Williams retired 50 years ago, and every left-fielder since...Yaz, Rice, Greenwell, Ramierz...has been found to be lacking in one way or another.
I’d rather see a politician looking forward and building his, or her, own foundations.

Are you F’ng kidding me? Our problem today is that we have the same inside the beltway idiots year after year that don’t care about us as much as they do their own career. We need LOTS more candidates that don’t hve federal experience. What’s the quote, something like, people go to DC to change it, but DC ends up changing them.

The idea that Sarah Palin is somehow compariable to Reagan on any level is ridiculous.
Reagan was a political heavyweight. Palin is a political lightlight. End of story.

Yeah we need more federal experience like that of Cornyn and KBHutchison so we can spend ourselves into debt and give up credibility on fiscal matters.

I am not willing to ignore her position on comprehensive immigration reform. I didn’t ignore it for McCain, Romney or Thompson and Palin won’t get a pass from me either.
Benefit of the doubt isn't a concept they can't understand.
The dem/liberal chorus called Reagan an “amiable dunce” if I recall, in spite of the so-called homework he did.
Face it now, they will say whatever it takes to try degrade Palin because they are scared to death of her.
