VANITY: Possible way for Romney to gain Palin's support [mega baforama!!]
July, 4, 2009 | yongin

Posted on 07/04/2009 5:09:47 AM PDT by yongin

Many FReepers are skeptical of Romney's conservative credentials. They don't like his past positions on abortion, healthcare, and gay marriage. They feel his rightward shift on social issues to be less than sincere.

Many conservatives are angered by the Left's attempts to character assassinate Palin thru silly ethics complaints. They have made Palin's administration and family into side shows. The ethics complaints have driven her to be $500,000 in debt.

This situation might provide an opening for Romney to gain Palin's support. Romney could step in to pay off Palin's legal debt. He then could make a speech about how conservatives must unite against the Far Left with Palin giving her endorsement. If Romney does this action, would it make him acceptable to Freepers?

Can't stand the heat, get the hell out of the kitchen.
You asked: “I wonder what the consensus will be if Sarah has left to accept an offer by Romney to join him in ‘12 as a VP candidate or for a post in his Administration?” This is either a “wish” on your part, or you are simply delusional. I have more respect for Sarah Palin than to see her join Romney to give him some kind of respect and credibility, for which he is greatly lacking!

It should be your “handful...

I can see where you misunderstood...

But look at the rest of it. I am a certified “Mitt basher” as sanctioned by Team Romney and his sycophants here.

Well, I guess nothing’s changed much. Let’s rehearse.

If a FReeper dares to support Romney, here’s what we do.

1) Post a bunch of juvenile photoshopped images of Romney and flip-flops

2) Post a rehashed littany of RHINO accusations sprinkled with some more entertaining ones about dog abuse.

3) Attack and intimidate the FReeper

4) If all else fails, run crying to Jim Robinson.

Life is too short for this. Good day.

Instead of letting personal feelings boil over, lets look at the Romney record.

Although I don't have the numbers, I do remember that Romney was beaten by McCain.

McCain was beat by Obummer, the Fascist.

Has it not been for Sarah Palin, McCain would have lost by an even greater margin, some say 10 to 15% more, but that is conjecture.

The fact is that he lost.

Now if Romney got beat by McCain, who was probably the poorest choice for a candidate since Bob Dole, Romney against Obummer, the Fascist, would have been a rout similar if not as bad as the Dole candidacy.

So bottom line: Romney has demonstrated that he could not beat the worst choice since Dole. Therefore, there is no way he can win the presidency. Romney as the repub choice will guarantee a second term for Obummer, the Fascist.

Believing that anyone will be able to beat Obummer, the Fascist, after his first four years is underestimating him; the same serious mistake we made last time.

I’d stay home before voting for Romney. We’ve been told for too long that a RINO is the lesser of two evils.

No more RINOs for me. If they are the only way of reviving the Republican party, then I would be content to let it die (for my part).

Why is it I have almost never seen a FR Rombott have anything on their Freeper page?

How do you change your mind AFTER Reagan? AFTER Stanford, Harvard Business School, AFTER living in Massachusetts under Dukakis, AFTER being in finance?

How could one person be so politically clueless into almost his 60’s, with that type of education and experience, and as Mittbots always say, his smarts, business experience?

Either he was/is so politically clueless, which he is, or he is life long liberal Republican type.

In short, as far as conservatism goes, Mitt just doesn't get it.

Mitt never mentions Hyack, Friedman, any of the hundreds of free market thinkers, economists, writer. Never, not once.

It is because he does not know them, and that is because he doesn't have use for them. He already had internalized liberal, leftist, socialist thinking through his father and mother and his social connections.

This is why his speeches are so about as inspiring as a furnace installer ringing of a parts stock list.

His speeches, all of them, are boring, dully, mechanistic laundry lists. And the speeches are that way, because he isn't ideological, at all. He is a creature of his liberal, upper income, Michigan/Massachusetts/Harvard upbringing.

Let us say a person had Mitt's back round and was truly a liberal, and wanted to buy in, win over, sell, pitch themselves as a conservative. They would do exactly what Mitt is doing now. Conservative ideas don't need or are built on one man. We don't need Mitt. Together we have more than enough money, support. Any true conservative will do. Mitt will just use us as he did the citizens of Massachusetts as a annoying stepping stone.

Then get with your fellow Mittfans and tell them to back off the back stabgbing of other conservatives.

That is where the simple opposition turned in so called 'hate" around here. His sycophant's backhanded ways and direct assaults on more qualified Conservatives.

Instead of selling the man, they tried to being others to his level among other things.

That any mention of him brings an emotional response after all the Mittbot antics of '07-'08 should come as no surprise.

Sarah Palin won't sell her soul for money to Mitt Romney or anyone else. She's already proved that to me time and time again and Mitt would be a fool to broach that subject with her. He might wind up mounted on her wall.

Foolish discussion.

Mittbot auto response:

Deflect from the fact we have an empty hand by trying to marginalize Conservatives on FR.

Never show ‘em you got nothing...

Not Romney. Never. He’s unelectable. I wish he would recognize this and just go away. He is exactly what the dems want on the top of the GOP ticket in 2012.
