I don’t know if you can call this a Friday afternoon news dump to hide something. Yes, the A-team MSM is at the Hamptons, but congress is also on vacation and Obama is at Ft. David. They can’t get a coordinated message out. On the other side I know it will be a major topic of discussion tomorrow at countless BBQs and several tea parties, all in support of Sarah.

For me it is either Romney or Palin; a Palin Romney ticket would be perfect.

I second the screw Huck sentiment. He used his Christian faith to malign Romney. I will never respect the guy.

I think that if Palin is spending 500K a year in non-reimbursable legal fees to defend frivilous lawsuits she has every right to say to heck with this, I’m resigning and starting my campaign against Obama now. It will allow her to:

raise money
campaign for other folks, therefore building support
learn the issues which don’t touch Alaska

where do you sign up for Palin 2012 in North Carolina?

I don’t give a rip about Huckabee. With Sarah gone rouge, he just became irrelevant- even more so than he was before. Somewhere, in a tiny room, Mitt Romney is sitting in a puddle of pee.

You know what, I don't care. I'm not voting for him, no way, no how. And yeah, even if Sarah *asks* me to vote for him (which she won't), I'm not going to.

Her fiery speech was the gauntlet thrown down for conservatives and every one else who is fed up with the way this country is headed.

I have to agree, though the position of victim Mom has played well for the left.

I hate to see her play this angle.

I think it’s a bad strategic move. Resigning mid term will unfairly give her a perception of quitter...

That is the perception, and I don't think it's unfair. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. It would seem, from that speech, that dirty politics has driven her from office. Who'd trust her with a bigger one?

I so want to be wrong, but there's no straw to grasp.

At least she didn’t totally screw over her state like Romney did in Massachusetts!

Hmm, I don’t know if this is a good move or not.

I see it as a good move because it was her choice - not something thrust upon her.

I will understand if she sits the next election out, and I will enthusiastically support her if she runs.

I really don’t care as long as it’s somebody significantly to the right of Obama and ELECTABLE. My personal political preferences — practically decimating the federal government and absolutely, completely unfettered RKBA head the list — are not positions that will be espoused by any electable candidate, so I know I’ll have to compromise a lot. Romney, Gingrich, Huckabee, whatever — just as long as they can get Obama out and move the country at least incrementally back towards what the framers of the Constitution had in mind.

Lots of time left. This is going to
set up a lot of new political dynamics.
The consequences of her actions will
cause unexpected people to rise up.

Seems The Palins have been pushed to the brink with liberal lawsuits and that she is sick of Alaskans footing the bill.

I think thats what the dem douchebags are angling at on her, the “notion”(barack paraphrased) that public money was used on the defense of a private citizen, even though that citizen is the Governor of the state.

This prolly explains why Sarah was so adamant that it is unfair for the people of Alaska

If probably means all the liberal thugs - from Letterman to Gibson to the New York Times and every "newspaper" and Hollywood "arrrrrteeest" have wounded her and her family enough.

Remember the same suck-up press that tried to destroy her and her family are giving a pass to a man who tried to sell a 5 year old black child for "anything goes" rape by adult white men.

The same press that gave Teddy a pass when the coward walked away and let a woman drown because he didn't want drunk driving interfering with getting re-elected. And the press let him get away with it.

The same press that covered the KKK background of a powerful Democrat - for years - so it wouldn't hurt "their side".

The same press that was willing to trash a young woman - many young women - to lie for the Clintons - because it was "their guy".

The same press that has lost so much credibility that they're going under... Or course the MSM is busy now covering the KING OF PEDOPHILES - the wasted drug addict and their effing HERO.

Finally, someone for them to gush over.

The only good thing is the American people trust the MSM about as much as they trust used car salesmen.

Charming.

One generation of idiots destroyed a wonderful profession.
